Defective unit

I received the chiller for a great price….. maybe too good to be true. When I opened it looked pretty much new but there was moisture on the inside of the machine making me think it had been used and returned. The minute I turned it on, to my dismay the digital screen flashed a malfunction code which makes me think I was sent a defective unit that had been bought and returned already. Expected better than this

The water chiller does the job. It keep my water at 38-39 degrees.

Not only is the chiller awesome and working great, the customer service @ Happy Hydro is incredible!!! The chiller arrived very well packed to limit damage during transit. In addition, the package was shipped out the day I ordered it and arrived earlier that I was planning for. I can't say enough good things about Aaron who was very helpful in the selection process and communicated with with me throughout the purchase. Works great to keep my cold plunge at 45-50 degrees with an outside temp maintaining 75+ here in Hawaii! First one didn’t work but happy hydro team made it as easy as possible to get a warranty swap.

he chiller is very easy to set up- effortless. Im using mine for a 75 gallon aquarium application. (For aquarium applications just get some clear tubing and an aquarium duck bill discharge hose at most aquarium stores) User manual is nicely detailed. Im planning on getting a 2nd unit later on sometime. I also purchased a 800gh pump and will get a second one of those too.

Great chiller

I got it for my axolotls two years ago and it’s still going strong I’ve never had any issues with it. Keeps my water at 63f which is what I have it set on and I live in Florida.

It works great as a chiller. Im chilling only 17 gals right now. Its a 2x4 foot cloning machine. The room is 83 the water is 67.4 steady. My problem is the connections you get for it don't seat well. As you can see in my pic it has a slow leak. It doesn't seat no matter what I try or how many times I clean and dry it and re assemble. Customer service is responsive but yet to actually help me. 550$ for a leaking chiller. But like I said it chills water exceptionally well. I dont suggest using it for large amounts of water. I dont think the performance will have a consistent impact.
