HVL On Point Again!
Perfect condition, heavy quality bronze finish. Shinier (medium gloss, not matte) than anticipated from the photos but acceptable. The shades are lovely and the entire design is well-proportioned. Classic but not outdated. Another winner from HVL!

Colonial living room lighting
I was looking for simple, understated lighting for our 1920s colonial living room. It has no ceiling lights, so we installed 4 of these wall sconces in the room. The effect is really, really nice. We put 60W equivalent LED bulbs in and the room suddenly looks great. I didn't love that the shades sit directly on the bulb but now that they are up, you can't tell and it really is fine.
