Doesn’t last

I have purchased over 20 of these fans and I found that they are sturdy, quiet and built in the USA! Which is great. They also lasted longer than tractor supply fans. But I have found they only last about 18 months in Florida weather. So sadly for the price I have had to switch to a different brand. Great for short term use. Not built to last or repair.

Starting to have longevity issues

For my workshop I began my fan journey with 18" fans from tractor supply. Those lasted 1 summer and cost under $150 So I spent a bit more $$ and went with the air king 9318. Buying from build.com is amazing - free shipping and I received the fans usually in 48 hours - cannot beat that! These fans are now entering their 2nd Florida summer - its hot hot hot here and dusty so they are working under the maximum conditions and they are starting to die so under these conditions I would say they have an operating life of about 18 months - keep in mind they are getting used and abused May - Nov then left to sit - so I cut them some slack, but I was hoping they would last bit longer, but shopping around for a new brand I am looking to spend between $250 - $350 a fan compared to an Air king under $200 - So I will be seeing how long a $325 fan lasts and if that brand cant make it more than 18 months I will come back to the air kings and build.com for sure!

Good fan

Reason I give only 4 stars is I have purchased a dozen of these fans over the past 8 years. 85% are working well and have held up for years and years. The last 3 purchases over the past 3 years, two of the three have failed (they vibrated a little as new then vibrated more, then motor slowed or failed to change speed). Zorro replaced one, I am hoping they will replace the other, the 3rd one is working fine. I do not know if there is a change in manufacturing, but I will give Air King one more try. Four I purchased in 2015/2016 from a different distributor are all working well.

Air King Fits Everywhere

Excellent fan and company has amazing customer service, have used for many years and far exceed expectations for longevity given the use in dirty/damp areas. Occasionally blow out motor housing and fan blades with air but it runs for the majority of the summer and is great at making a solid breeze. Mounting allows it to be fit in any small corner and adjusts to pull outside air into the area.

Excellent fan but 20% failure rate after 2-years.

In the past 1-1/2 years, I initially purchased 11 of these fans for use in horse stalls. They do an excellent job, are competitively priced, but have an almost 20% failure rate after two years. Two fans have failed.

Perfect greenhouse fans

Barn fan super star!

We purchased this as an outdoor fan in our horse barn and have been impressed! Blows strong enough to keep the flies away and a new favorite spot

I hung this fan in my fish cleaning station to use during hot weather and it works great. Easy to install and it is well built.

Solid, powerful fan.

Very powerful fan with 3 speed settings. The highest moves an incredible amount of air. As expected the highest setting is louder than medium or low - but all considered it's pretty quiet for a fan of this type. I did notice a very slight vibration at the mid setting, nothing to worry about. Nice fan, would recommend.

High quality fan!!

This fan is very well built and puts out a high volume of air flow. I am using it for my horse stalls and my horses love it. I am going to purchase two more. For the price, they can not be beat. Much better quality than Tractor Supply fans that are more expensive.

Purchased this for my horse's stall to help with heat and flies. Recommended by vet as safer due to motor being encased. It does a great job and seems of high quality.

Nice Quality Fans

I always read reviews on anything that is costly & these fans are worth the price. Installed two in my horse barn & they are great. Nice thick cords, heavy quality. Bracket only had one hole, but my husband added 2 more for stability with a problems. We used a 3 way switch speed control so we wouldn't have to pull the chain everytime to change the speeds. Great buy.
