Bought 2 fans of this model. The lighting kit for one did not work and warranty service from mfr. was hard to work with. Also the fan motor surges for a brief moment when you turn it off. It looks nice though.

I wish I had pictures of this fan hung and running but have not installed it yet. I have a 14 foot ceiling in my living room and want to bring in a scaffold when I do this job. I also need to buy a bronze 24 inch downrod and a longer safety cable because of the high ceiling, the short parts that come with the fan won't work. I never installed a ceiling fan before. I think I can handle the job.There was a ceiling fan in this house when I bought it. I figure it's as old as the house,25 years, so it seems like it might be a good time to change it and while at it, upgrade. I found it very instructive to assemble this fan on a table before I have to do it up in the air. If like me,you've never done one before, I recommend it. There are about 5 stacking parts on the downrod between the canopy attached to the ceiling and the actual fan assembly. Trying to put them together I had some in the wrong order and some upside down. Much easier to disassemble and re-assemble on a table. After a few attempts I'm pretty sure it's now in order. When I actually start the installation I'll be familiar with it and the job will go more smoothly. (I hope) The instructions tell you what you need to know, but they cover a lot of information in a short space. I'll guess these fans are usually hung by people who have done many so the one-step-at-a-time with big pictures instructions aren't necessary. It looks like a nice fan with a nice paint job. All the parts were in the box. The fan motor is fairly heavy, seems about 35 pounds. This fan comes with a remote control which is part of the upgrade. The integrated dimmable LED lamp is a nice feature. I'll have to get down to Home Depot and get the longer downrod and safety cable real soon.

Light issues

On my original review, i wrote that the light was good, but my light just fizzled and stopped working within an hour the second time i turned it on. The power to the light is good. The fan works great in all speeds.

I have installed many great Progress Lighting ceiling fans in the past and this one is no different. It is easy and direct to install. One of my favorite features is the remote control. It has 4 dip switches in the remote and the receiver which means you have 16 possible different codes to keep multiple fan remotes from interfering with each other. It gives you extra wire if you want to install it on a longer down rod. All the parts are well marked and there are easy to follow installation instructions. The finishes are nice and attractive. I also love the new LED lighting in these fans. Very easy to install and use.

This fan looks really nice with a dark oil-rubbed bronze finish, knotty pine appearance blades and a unique blade housing for a very clean look. The blades fit through slots thus concealing the attachments; the clearance to attach the screws is a bit tight though.

This BRONZE CEILING FAN IS 54 INCHES IN SIZE. It is made for outdoor use, but you could easily use it indoors as well. It comes with a remote control for easy use. The directions are straightforward and easy to follow. Putting the fan together is simple. The hardest part is installing the fan blades while looking up at installed fan. The light is dimmable and the remote is easy to use and reprogram if you need to do so.
