Great size and functionality
Love this pan and how it completely covers my power boil burner. A good alternative to a stockpot or even Dutch oven when cooking for 2. Perfect capacity for a light dinner when paired with the steamer basket. The only thing that might improve it would be a grab handle across from the main one. Filled with stew, it’s quite heavy.
A Little All-Clad Gem!
I wanted to round out my All-Clad open-stock collection with the smallest among their pans, and I love it! Perfect for the smaller cooking tasks and it fits perfectly into my routine (and cabinet drawer.) I use it for boiling eggs, smaller batches of pasta and rice, melting butter and small veggie sides like pearled onions. It handles the heat perfectly without scorching or sticking. I highly recommend the entire All-Clad line, worth every penny!
Disappointing given its reviews and price
This all clad pan was very highly reviewed and the handle said to be comfortable. Not my experience at all. The pan is very heavy, the handle too long, and I find it very uncomfortable to hold. It has a depression for your thumb but it's too narrow and not hefty enough to counterbalance the weight of the pan. I also realize now that I prefer a glass lid. Even though they steam up I can still see when something comes to a boil. I'd like to return the pan but I foolishly disposed of the box - recycling day I guess - right away.
Like the size!
I read the 1 star reviews that complained about the weird size. There are two 2 qt pots. One is tall and narrow and one is stout and wider. I bought the D3 tall and narrow because there is less splashover and it's easy for me to use. I really like it and, as a single person, it's the perfect size for soups and sauces. Unfortunately, when I was boiling some water, I accidentally let it boil down to dry and it discolored the sides and the inside of the pot so it doesn't look pretty anymore. Does this fall under the lifetime warranty? Can I get a replacement?
Over the moon. I am an older woman who has decided I want to buy nice pans for once. I used to cook a lot but don't eat much anymore. I know all about the joys of a good pan and having proper tools and sizes. I would like to be prepared as well. I can afford whatever I would like to buy now but the frugality is still in me. I am buying each pan one at a time and getting great deals. Not a good time to be looking for items with Christmas here, but I have a ton of patience. I read reviews as well. So it is helping immensely. I'm happy so far and over buying a bit...just might have to share, I'm smiling broadly. Nothing wrong with that.
Great pot, easy to use and clean
I bought this pan three months ago to replace a very old hand-me-down non-stick pan long overdue for an upgrade. I was a little concerned with the weight and whether food would stick to it. Three months in, it is my favorite pot. I use it for everything (I got the 3 qt, so it is a very flexible size) and I am contemplating getting another one in a different size. Food doesn't stick and clean up is easy. I haven't put it in the dishwasher, but washing it by hand is fast. Food doesn't stick. Also, even when full of boiling water and pasta, it is not too heavy for me to drain in the sink. It is a great, solid addition to any kitchen. The only improvement I would suggest would be the addition of a glass lid. So glad I got it!!

Perfect size small pot
I bought two of these All-Clad stainless steel 1.5 qt size pots with lids. I now have a complete set of All-Clad pots and pans. I love All-Clad's quality and that it is made in the USA in Canonsburg, Pa..The pots are a substantial weight. The pots are beautiful to look at. They cook foods evenly. The size is perfect for heating up a can of soup, making a sauce, or cooking one or two servings of a fresh or frozen vegetable. It is easy to clean. It is safe to put in the dishwasher and comes out sparkling. I appreciate how quickly Bloomingdale's.com processed this order and delivered it. It was packaged carefully and arrived in perfect condition.
