awful costumer experience. After waiting 1 month for the item, the only option I get is to wait 1 more month or cancel the order. They misled there costumer with fake dates (beating there competition) and then can't deliver. Now they say they can't guarantee the item so it's not their fault, it's the vendor.

[Rewarded Review] Perfect utilitarian stove that doesn't spy on you

You know those six-burner, griddle-in-the-middle, room-for-two-turkeys stainless steel ranges you see in every kitchen on every HGTV show? This little gas stove is the opposite of those in every way. At only 20 inches wide, it has a tiny footprint that's perfect for small kitchens or ones where counter space is at a premium. I live alone and enjoy cooking, but don't suffer the delusion that I need a commercial kitchen. The burner grates, while butted right up against each other, are large enough to accommodate my 5-gallon stock pot. There are no complicated displays or timers that might go on the fritz, rendering the range an expensive paperweight. The five dials and oven light switch on the front are as straightforward as the controls on my parents' kitchen appliances in the 1970s. The over seems to heat evenly and accurately, so I haven't had to adjust recommended cook times or temperatures. The burner grates are easy to remove and clean. Because the interior is quite small compared to standard ovens I did put a cut-to-fit liner in the bottom. (I'd almost rather buy a new range than clean one. Just...yuck.)

oven door was not able to close all the way. It leaves about 1 inch gap. Called homedepot and directed us to call Amana directly. Service technican came and able to fix the problem but during the process he damaged the oven inner door panel. Numerous area got chipped off. Scheduled another appointment to replace the inner door panel. This time a technician called and said the part arrived but found to be damaged. I'm not happy about the experience

Poorly designed and dangerous

Lower compartment/door (houses main burner) is inadequately designed/insulated (gasket around <50% of perimeter of compartment; insulation covers only 40% of door's surface area). While preheating oven to 300 deg, service technician measured dangerously high temps on outside surface of lower door, constituting a burn/fire danger. Oven door was askew; did not make a full seal with frame. Was advised to return this range and purchase one with a safer design and better workmanship. Will do.

The Amana Gas Range was near perfect to what I expected.

5 yrs later

Got one of these and a matching electric to replace unreliable 40" Kenmore electric. Everything was perfect except the grille was not quite flat, and they sent a replacement set right away for no charge. It also was slightly crooked but being wire, and having a spare set, I just bent it down a little just right so it works with a wok or a flat pan perfectly. Paint chipped off as I bent it so I sprayed with black grille paint and it's been great! We also have a matching 20" electric model.

I have a tiny house and this tiny stove fits in perfectly. Fits a full cookie sheet and heats up really fast. I did have to buy a thermometer for the inside of the oven but not a big deal. Super nice that it has a light in it.

We bought this to fit into a small kitchenette in our cabin, and paid a significant premium because of the unique size. The oven works great. Made biscuits, and temp seemed to be accurate and no hot spots. The stove top feels a little cheap. The grates feel a little flimsy, and the burners don't offer much adjustment. Feels like you get extra high or low with minimal in-between. All-in-all it's a good fit for where we needed it, but for the $ (compared to a standard size stove/oven), I think the stove top could have used a little more refinement.

2 settings for stove: On and Off

This small stove is only for applications where a larger full-featured stove will not fit. The burners often don't light from the electric ignitors. I was told by a tech that "these units are not very good quality." No kidding... You can't really "simmer" anything, as the lowest setting is too high, and the highest setting is too low. Sadly, I cannot buy a better quality stove, so this is what I'm stuck with at the moment. Otherwise, the unit works as advertised and is easy to clean and operate.

i have replaced the igniter 3 times now the thermostat is bad. before i spend 360.00 i am going to purchase something else.
