Nice Touch for Vintage Home

In the course of renovating our front porch, we added 2 of these ceiling light fixtures. The style and color blend well with our existing porch lanterns, and my husband likes how easy it is to change light bulbs. We're very happy with these light fixtures.

THIS APPEARS TO BE A QUALITY PRODUCT. IT WENT UP QUITE EASILY BUT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN APPRECIATED IF THEY HAD INCLUDED A COUPLE MORE OF THE COMMON PIECES YOU MIGHT NEED FOR THE INSTALLATION. I HAD THEM SO IT WAS NO BIG DEAL. I DEFINITELY WOULD BUY IT AGAIN.

Found Difficult to install??

I have installed many ceiling lights before but.. This one ceiling light took many hours just trying to line up the two screws to mount it to the ceiling.The glass part does not come off for mounting.The screws seemed too short even though I just set the screws in just 2 threads. I had to eventually push up on the bottom area to get the screws to go in the slots, then finding the other screw too line up was very challenging. I also had to buy another mounting plate so it would mount. I liked the style, and the open bottom makes it easy to change bulbs, but it is not really a good porch light or water resistant as I was told, The glass design makes the light look crackled like crystal which is not what I wanted.

I put up Cottrell Aged Bronze Patina Outdoor Wall Lanterns on my house. This flushmount fixture is as close a match as you can get. I like that it has no bottom to collect bugs.

We recently put vinyl siding on our home and updated our lighting fixtures. We wanted more light on our door, so installed a ceiling fixture. Since we had existing lamps on both sides of the door, we kept them there, but decreased the amount of light used. So, now we have LED 3.5 watts(equal to incandescent 25 watts) on both side of door fixtures and 2 of these on the ceiling. Used soft white. Perfect!
