I've been buying this product for years and love it

When my furnace was replaced a couple of years back, I was instructed to buy good filters and replace them twice a year. These filters are the absolute best quality. The ordering process is easy and the product arrives within a day or two. Couldn't ask for more!

I used to have to send away for these filters, before the company started charging shipping. They became too expensive.

This HVAC filter is the size and type that fits into our new home; however, there was no place locally to purchase it until now. We always had to order it and wait until it was delivered to our home. We are so glad that Home Depot stocks this filter now so we can easily get one and install it in our unit.

Meets expectations. Always better to have name brand products in HVAC so no warranty voiding. Keeps house from getting so dusty. House smells better already as well. We just bought the home and we are pretty sure prior homeowners smoked in house.

I find that this brand and this model excels when compared to a few alternates. The AprilAir cost appears to be well above alternates, and there is some rationale for using a substitute. Home Depot does no stock the Four-Pack in a local store, so I ordered the quantity package on line to benefit from slightly lower cost per filter. I am satisfied withtneh product, and am happy to see these new available via Home Depot in quantity.

MERV 10 vs MERV 13

I bought Aprilaire MERV 13 to replace my MERV10. 17 pleats on both, media thickness the same, and very close examination of both species filter material appear to be identical. Big jump in price between the two. Looks like a product Project Farm (YouTube) should test to verify. I guess I was expecting more pleats or at least a significant difference in the filter media, but they both looked and felt identical, and I broke out my nice magnifying glass to really look at both very carefully.

These automated review requests are getting a bit silly. It's an AIR FILTER!! It'll be a while before I have a clue how well it works. It comes in the box and a collapsed accordion. Removing the old filter was much easier than inserting the new one BUT it sure is secure. I chose to buy the 413 for it's better filtration than the 410.

It's hard to tell what the better deal is -one of these vs a 12 pack of the generic filters- but one of these lasts a whole yead and let's face it; most of us forget to change them on time leading to furnace damage over time. This has a pretty high merv rating and should only be used with approved devices. I didn't buy the recommended box and crafting my own was a small challenge since I had to trim the sides to fit (not an exact 25x16") so I don't recommend you go this route. There is mesh from the clean side to prevent collapse into the main fan. I like that it's still pretty breathable since there is an enormous contact area and the thickness of material is not see-thru unlike the ones I normally use. This WILL trap far more cotaminants and not only give you healthier air but increase the longevity of your appliance

The AprilAire 16x25x4" filter works great as long as you match your correct model. This is a large square inch filter that comes pleated and easily expands to the full size. It is held to its full size by the air filter box between your cold air return and your furnace. The small package size for the filter makes storing a spare filter super easy since it only takes up 4¼ x 3¾ x 25", not the full 16x 4x 25 that it expands to fit. The 413 is a setp up from the base 410 filter in regards to what it filters out, and there are 2 more steps above this to capture even more allergens and smells. These filters work great, are super easy to install, super easy to store additional filters and offer 4 levels of filtration.

[Rewarded Review] Interesting Filter

This filter came in some creative and different packaging. Instead of being packaged in a full rectangular form it came in an accordion form that you stretch out and then insert into the unit which was very easy to do. The filter has a rating of MERV 13 which traps a lot of dust, pet hair and odors and supposedly has a one year life span before it needs to be replaced. When I change filters I always mark the filter as to the date it was installed and then mark the filter for 3 months ahead to check the filter to make sure it is still clean enough.

Size matters

I was so excited to get our Aprilaire 16 inch x 25 inch x 4 inch 413 air cleaner filter. It has a rating MERV 11. When I picked out this filter for our home all I looked at was the size which is the same size as our Honeywell furnace. It does not even come close to fitting our furnace. After looking at it closer at home this filter only fits Aprilaire products with model numbers 1410, 1610, 2410, 2416, 4400. I measured the filter and its dimensions are really 16 inches by 29 inches by 4 inches thick. I have no idea why this company would say its 25 inches when it is really 29.38 inches wide. It probably works good with the Aprilaire air purifier but I no was to use it. I will be headed to my local Home Depot tomorrow to get the proper filter for our furnace.

[Rewarded Review] OEM Filter

This filter is the OEM filter designed specifically for my air cleaner. One thing I did not notice until I installed this one, is that there are bottom rails on the filter, which line up with rails on the bottom of the air cleaner. Getting is right is important for trapping all the particles this filter is rated for. Speaking of ratings, this is the "Healthy Home" MERV 13 filter. There are higher rated filters available, but there are more expensive & no one in our house has respiratory issues.

[Rewarded Review] Great Air Filter

The AprilAire 16 in. x 25 in. x 4 in. 413 Air Cleaner Filter MERV 11 for Whole-House Air Purifier is a good air filter. I feel it does a good job of pulling dust and impurities of all kinds out of the air. If you have certain allergies, it does help. I know this from personal experience. I like that it lasts longer than other air filtering systems. Some of their filters last 3 months. These will go 6-12 months. We have an active home with pets, so we get about 9-10 months and then we replace it. It is easy to replace, does a great jib, and you will know this on your first filter change. What was white, will not be white. I would definitely recommend the AprilAire 16 in. x 25 in. x 4 in. 413 Air Cleaner Filter MERV 11 for Whole-House Air Purifier Models 1410. I did not include a picture of it installed because I just replaced one a month ago.

The fact that I could actually call in and speak with a sales associate that was kind, courteous, and helpful is HUGE for me. I'm also in sales and the one action that has remained the same for me throughout my career is STRONG communication.

The filter replacement I received from you is exactly like the original in my furnace. My first purchased filter was from a hardware/home improvement store. I was disappointed right off because it was flimsy and didn't insert all the way into the furnace properly. Since it was a new furnace and under warranty I called the installers. There was nothing wrong with the unit. I could not find the original filter replacement locally. For me it was difficult to locate but I found it at Filtersfast at a reasonable price.
