Didn’t fit my Aprilaire 213 system

Bought these because they were much cheaper than the Aprilaire brand filters, but they did not fit my system. There were no tracks on the top & bottom to install them, so had to send them back. Not very happy that I had to pay $12 to return them either because it was misleading that they said they were for Aprilaire 213 & then didn’t fit.

The filter material itself seems good, but it doesnt have the upper and lower extruded plastic parts for a tight seal against the filter enclosure. I dont know how effectively it will stop particles from entering.

Not a good Aprilaire 213 substitute.

This filter is not a good replacement for the Aprilaire 223. It does not have the plastic tracks on the top and bottom that should secure the filter in place. As a result, there is a one inch gap at the top that will allow air to bypass the filter, rendering it useless.

Different. Design

Even tho I ordered the correct model, it looks different from the name brand item. Only somewhat cheaper but fit ok.

Unacceptable

HVAC repair said this inferior replacement for the Aprilaire ordered needs to be replaced as he refuses to install it. Please contact me @ 715/507-2103.

I was concerned the re-design may not work, but it fit perfectly. ANd they had the best price. I will be back next year.

Could have better packaging.

Filter is OK, probably as good as the more expensive name brand. Packaging... Not so much. Corners of the filter were crunched from not being packed well.

Design has changed a bit over the years, but these should work, and the Aerostar is a good brand.

they are advertised as a replacement for aprilair filter 213. I guess they will work but there are no rails on the filter to slide like the origianl ones have. the new filter just kind of sits in there and isn't a great fit.

Not a True Replacement for Aprilaire 213!

I am sorry to say that this item is not what I was expecting. It does not fit like the Aprilaire 213. I am going order from another company.

These filters are great they do a good job. I love the auto ship because it reminds us to change them because life is so busy. Would highly recommend these filters

You didn’t send me 20x26x4. You sent me 28 3/4 x 15 7/8 x 4 1/8. See photo. Please send me the correct size!

Aerostar Replacement Filter for Aprilaire 213 Air Systems

Excellent replacement for air filter. Easier to install than the Aprilaire. Great value/price!

Used before

They work great. The only thing I don't care for are the rods for assembly. Having said that, I assembled them on the kitchen counter vs. trying to assemble. I then took the assembled one up into the attic (where the air handler is located) and installed it within a matter of minutes.

This was a filter replacement

This was a filter replacement for a new furnace. So I can't comment to much. But it was easy to put together and after that it was easy to slide into place. So far no complaints.

[Rewarded Review] It does not fit.

The filter does not fit. The Aprilaire has plastic caps that fit in rails. This filter has cardboard ends that do not fit in rails. I bought this a few months ahead of time and now I cant return it.

Keep it Clean.

Some assembly required. Works like it should. I have 2 furnace in takes before this Merv 13 filter. The 2 other intakes I use 20X20 Merv 11 filters as pre-filters to extend the life of this expensive Merv 13 filter.
