The lights work good, however the cutting and splicing in the electrical connector s is bit of a challenge. Had to re-due the connection several time to get them operate properly , wish the connectors worked better.

5 stars with an asterisk: Comes with only a 30watt transformer. this is barely enough to run the 16" strand.... I had to add two ~30" extensions to my strand (Used 18ga wire); but with the small voltage drop I guess, it would not drive all 3 legs.... Had to add an additional 20w transformer to run one of the 3 legs.

The lights are great, however when cutting the string and installing the connections we had trouble making a solid connections and lights started blinking. Soldering the connection is more solid and recommended.

I found I can’t cut at exact length. The only cutting points are the copper connections. Otherwise the last segment can’t be lit on.

Installation was fairly simple but the performance of the lights is not good. I first ordered one of the recommend programable dimmers that is mentioned in the instructions but the lights flickered continuously regardless of the dimmer setting. I then switched the dimmer to a $55 Legrand programable dimmer and that works better when set to reverse phase. However the lights still flicker when anything brighter than about 40% of the dimming range. So in the end they work but the performance on the mid to high end brightness is still bad. I feel like the LED driver might be the issue after trying two different dimmers. Hard to say.

missing parts

The connectors were missing from one box and present in the other. Wait a week for the delivery open the box and stop and start over. Saw someone else had same problem - thought must be a fluke. Guess its poor quality control.

Different product than described

I’m an electrician and have used Armacost tape lighting many times, always ordering the same 12 volt system. This time I received a different product, the transformer is 24 volt and the tape seems to not be the quality it used to be. Not sure why there was a change and why it isn’t reflected in the description of the product.

The lights look great in the built in display cabinet I just competed. Easy to install. And being able to use a wall mounted dimmer is a big plus. I'll being ordering another as I have one more cabinet to build.

Better than regular task lighting, added above my cabinets to enhance and show off my glassware. Easy to install with just removing the adhesive backing. Didn't need to cut or splice since it was one long set of cabinets. Clear instructions, but wish it came with a dimmer. Very happy with the effect in my kitchen, I don't have to always use the overhead light.

The light install is not complete since we had to make modifications to allow lighting to a cabinet on the other side of the stoves. We had to purchase a light cord to extend the lighting and we are having trouble making a positive connection.

If you are new to LED strip lights and want to add some accent lighting, don't be intimidated. The Armacost LED tape light kit is easy to install and use. I like that it is a dimmable LED. If you look at the 2nd pic below, temporarily set up for testing, all you have to do is plug it into a receiver, and in my case, utilize a remote to control on/off and bright to dim. It can also be hard-wired if you have the proper setup. You can cut it to size, or, cut and add the "Bridge gaps", short wires (2 included) to make tight turns. It is peel and stick; however, I bought a pack of "Strip light mounting clips", they are inexpensive and allow for easy changes. The hardest thing was do to the fact I didn't want to move the heavy entertainment center out. I made a template so the spacing of the clips would be uniform on the top and sides. Beware this can get addictive once you see how easy this is. LED is also very efficient. Pic 5 is at a very dim setting, 12:30 pm with no other lights on. Pic 6 is at a very bright setting 12:30 pm no other lights on.
