Stylish Porch Light

Nice compact light for my back porch. I love the style. I needed something smaller that would fit my small back porch ceiling.

Incorrect dimension on diagram of fixture

There is 5 1/4 inches clearance above our front door. Manufacturer's diagram on Lighting NY website showed height as 5". Fixture is 5 1/2". Lighting NY was understanding. The manufacturer accepted the return and refunded the purchase price. Very good customer service. High quality, attractive, good customer service manufactures' measurements were incorrect on their diagram

Don't go by the color in the photo.

I wanted a 2 bulb light, but the one HD had online wasn't in stock, so we settled for this single bulb fixture. This Acclaim Artisan light appeared to match a pair of outdoor sconces we already had in style and, importantly, in color. The photo makes the fixture appear reddish brown. It is not. It's what you would expect "oil rubbed bronze" to be - almost black with a slight dark brown tinge.A call to Acclaim lighting, the company that makes this light, confirmed that the HD photos are wrong.We needed a light, still liked the style of this one and we didn't want to start searching again and wait for shipping, so we kept it and installed it. Though it didn't match our other fixtures, the oil rubbed bronze color matches the door hardware near where this light was to be installed so it still worked.It's also good to note the best quality (but then it's under 40 bucks) made of very light weight steel - about the weight of a tin can and easily cut with a tin snips. I liked the deep base as it has to hide a surface mounted electrical box - which it did after cutting out a section of the side so it fits over conduit. One of the clips inside the fixture that holds in the glass panels had come loose from it's spot weld and was lying in the box. A little super glue and it was good to go.We made this one work, but I'd think twice about buying another Acclaim light or ordering any light from Home Depot. Less

For the price I expected better quality & construction. It’s smaller than than I was expecting but that’s my fault for not looking at measurements. Luckily my husband is a handyman & was able to repair the little broken pieces. He also sealed it to prevent bugs from getting inside. Otherwise I would have returned it. In my humble opinion this item is overpriced!

We like the fixture. The only problem we have, and it's why we only picked up one as a sample so far, is that where we need to mount them is on a 6" beam. They overhang on each side. We may opt to buy more to install in hallway ceilings where there are no size or area restrictions on the mounting surface. The light fixture itself is really great looking and illuminates nicely plus with the medium socket you have the option of increasing or decreasing illumination with bulb wattage.

This light was easy to install and looks really nice in our hallway. I would definitely buy another one. The design would fit in any kind of rustic setting

I wouldn’t buy this again. It’s cute, but it’s clearly very cheaply made. It has one anchor point in the middle. As you can imagine that makes it difficult to get a solid hold. It’s much smaller than I thought and it looks like it meant to be an outside light.
