Great kit pergola

It takes some time to assemble, but it arrived in a timely manner and the delivery guy brought it right up to our door. It arrives in multiple boxes and they aren't too heavy to move with some help. The instructions were easy to follow (lots of steps, but explained well) so there were no hiccups with assembly. We installed the pergola in May and so far (5 months later) its still holding up great and no issues with wind or weather.

Nice Pergola

I received the Pergola. It came is nicely packed boxes. I organized all of the parts and followed the instructions and it went together very well. I am happy with how it turned out.

Wonderful addition to my Patio

I bought this May of 2024 and paid for installation. Once the Pergola was installed I was very pleased, doesn't shake and feels very sturdy - which I need for my windy area. The top wood slats may not hold up long and currently have daylight coming through the mitered sections. I was expecting one long piece of wood but it is actually 2 mitered pieces that join and screwed together at the middle rafter.

We just built ours yesterday so this post will not speak to long term durability but this pergola is gorgeous!! It feels very sturdy and was pretty easy to build. The instructions were clear and the parts are clearly labeled. Delivery time was ok. The delivery company did not call to schedule as it should have and the team was a bit rough with the boxes. We had some damaged pieces but the Backyard Discovery team were immediately on it and sent us everything we needed very very quickly. The only real complaint is that QC is a bit lower than it should be. Some pieces not well cut and you can see some gaps when looking closely. Some pilot holes did not line up and it caused us to split a couple of pieces but we were able to work those issues out. Overall great piece and would definitely recommend.

VERY PLEASED!

With the help of two dear friends, my husband and I finished our Pergola project yesterday. Many hands make for a more quick assembly! We did have a couple damaged pieces when we did our initial inventory, but they were replaced very quickly and efficiently. We applied the sealer (per instruction suggestion) last week and had everything ready to assemble. My only suggestion to the company would be when you applied the stain, maybe apply sealer too.

MY OUTDOOR PEACE

It's been a year since my cousin and his teenage son put this up, less than 8 hours. Everyone I show pictures and video to has fallen in love along with myself! I will not write this review without giving the highest compliment to customer service. They were extremely helpful and took care of an issue right away with no questions asked. I did follow recommendations and spent a little extra money for a more secure base because I live in Florida 🌀 Oh and I love the power box. Don't let anything doubt you with purchasing from Backyard Discovery, you won't be disappointed! 🥰

Beautiful and well made

We purchased an arbor for our patio. Everything went extremely smooth from the purchase through the finished assembled product. We paid for the assembly as well and so glad we did! They were quick, professional and easy to work with. Definitely will be a repeat customer

We bought our pergola before Christmas and had it put up a month or so later (or choice to push the assembly date off - there was no delay on the part of Backyard Discovery.)

Few parts of the pergola came damaged but I received an excellent customer service and thise parts were replaced within a week.

Looks great and easy to assemble on a deck

Been looking for plans to build a pergola from scratch and after pricing this out and the time to collect all materials and build it this was a better idea. I build this on top on a deck I designed to secure the posts to the deck with extra bracing below the posts. Worked out well and the structure is solid and expect it will be able to handle the winds we get here in the pacific North west. Instructions were easy to follow. Make sure to measure the distances between posts carefully especially the posts that attach to the bar. Also retighten bolts after a week after the structure has settled. Good value and already enjoying the new space in the garden in the evenings.

Ashland Pergola

Overall, we are very pleased with the pergola. The instructions are easy to follow and it is very sturdy. The only issue is with the table top. The one in the initial shipment was misaligned. I had to take the braces off the bottom and reposition them because the side frame pieces would not fit.

Ashland 14x10 Step by Step Instructional

With the help of this instructional I was able to fully assemble the Pergola in about 10 hours. I made the mistake in the beginning of not locating the pilot holes and had to detach and reassemble the posts, setting us back over an hour. This instructional is a key to successfully assembling the product.

AMAZING!

Hi Everyone, I bought this last year for my husband for a COVID project to keep him busy. He enjoyed putting it together so much, he offered it to his friends if they bought one he would put it up for them! I am attaching a few pictures of our seasons. It is now spring and our Backyard Discovery Pergola held up through the winter season very well. We even utilized it during the winter months! So very happy with this purchase. You can't go wrong. One of my best buys!
