Control Board is Junk
I had a lot of extreme temperature fluctuations until the control board finally just stopped working & now it's completely useless. Mine stopped working 10 months after purchase. Don't believe their 3 year warranty really works because the control board that controls everything is only warranted for 8 months. This grill is mostly a fire hazard and it is not a smoker because the temperature can not be controlled for smoking meats at low temps.

This little smoker is awesome once you figure out how to manage the temperature swings which customer service assisted with. Keep in mind it has its limitation when it comes to large pieces of meat because the grill area is small hence the word portable. It can’t handle a full size brisket but will handle a smaller one with ease.
