This sink chips easily. Kohler warrants it against chipping but if it does chip they will only send touch up paint which keeps wearing off. Stay away from Kohler.

Looks great on the outside but not inside

At first I was hesitant to purchase a white sink for my kitchen reno but the description said that it was cast iron and it wouldn't chip etc. Well, after only a year the bottom of the sink is scratched and stained. We've always had a Kohler dish rack in the bottom of it. I wouldn't buy this sink again if I had the choice.

I am so frustrated that I purchased this sink. It arrived and the contractors put it in without me seeing it. It is so embarrassing and puts a damper on our new kitchen. I can not even believe this made it out of the warehouse. It was special ordered and I had to wait 3 months. For what…a defective sink. Kohler you need to do better!

Buyer beware

We have only used our sink for 2 days. On the second day, the enamel "exploded" after we had finished washing dishes. I would not purchase this sink again. We will now have to come up with a new solution for replacing this sink as we are in the middle of a full kitchen remodel and brand new countertops have already been installed. Similar to a prior review, removing the new countertops and having to pay for the plumber to come out (for an entire day $$$$) is a very costly undertaking.

Nightmare sink!!!

We recently purchased and installed this sink four months ago. The glazing completely dissolved and chipped away from hot water running over it! Now I have to have my countertop guy come out to uninstall it along with the plumber. I know it’s going to be a tough job since the cabinets were custom made for this sink I chose and the quartzite slab was carefully cut for this specific sink. Kohler will replace the defective sink, but will not cover the uninstallation of the defective sink and the re-installation of the new sink. This is going to cost me so much more than it’s worth! I carefully read reviews and did my research. I so wish I would have seen a review like this to tell me to run! I am so disappointed with Kohler here. I am warning my friends who are in remodel projects to avoid kohler products as there was clearly a bad batch or defect in the kilning process.

The sink is beautiful.. and solid. Just be careful when washing a pan, hitting the bottom against the sink. It can scuff it, leaving black marks. If you would have any commendations as to how to get it out, that would be helpful.

Steer clear unless you like to clean!

Always wanted a farmhouse sink. This one scratches so easily that I am best friends with Barkeepers Friend. It’s the only thing that gets all the grey scratches off. I should have gone with stainless steel. Super disappointed. The only reason I gave it even one star is because I was the idiot who picked it.

Unfortunately it came damaged

I was so excited about adding this sink to my kitchen remodel. Unfortunately it was damaged with a small ding on the top front which showed black on a white sink. I had to return the sink and decided not to replace it because I feared that any minor future scratch or dent would show black and totally ruin the sink. I opted for stainless.

This thing is heavy! About 160lbs, so have a friend help lift into place. We bought this for our kitchen remodel because we really wanted the low divider for bigger pots and pans. After reinforcing the cabinet, we placed the sink and it would not sit flat on either side. After a ton of troubleshooting, we determined that the sink iself was warped by over 1/4". I was worried because we had bought it more than 30 days prior. After reaching out to the seller, we sent the warped one back and had the new one in less than a week. The new sink was slightly warped, but by less than a 1/16" which is acceptable. Extremely trouble free experience from a great seller.

Sink was beautiful, haven’t used yet, mounted in the cabinet and had the countertop templates come in, realized there is a chip and cracking in the front right corner. Not worth the hassle of returning so now I’m trying to figure out how to repair it. Don’t even have the faucet or drain in yet. Very disappointed for the cost of this sink that it’s already cracked, how is it going to hold up if we haven’t used it yet and this already happened????

We like that it is so wide, from left to right; we have never had a sink this wide and it feels like such a luxury. We very much like the "farm house" style, with the thick face of the sink coming out from the countertop a little bit. We like that the center divider is low, allowing large pots with handles to go from one side to the other; and it just make working in the two sinks easier. We like that there were/ are no manufacturing defects that we have come across; the sink appears to be made perfectly. Connecting the plumbing was very easy because there is so much room under the 36" wide cabinet; there is plenty of room for plumbing, garbage disposal, etc. I like that the sink has the "self trimming " feature, because I installed it and it would have been much more work to trim the face of the cabinet exactly to meet the face of the sink had it not been self trimming; also, there is the issue of the minor adjusting that takes place when the counter top is installed; so even if you trimmed the cabinet face correctly at first, it might be off when the countertop installer makes the final adjustments to the sink height.

I purchased this farm sink after living with a non-functional kitchen for over thirty years. I was determined to have a large sink. We debated on the single vs double but went with the double. I’m so glad we did. I could not love washing dishes more, now that I have the room. I have 17 family members for holidays and many dishes. The dishwasher only holds so many. Thank you Kohler,! Beautiful design, great craftsmanship and I absolutely love the Sea Salt color.

We have only had our sink installed and in use for a few short months and there already a significant amount of scratches in the base of the sink ... for the amount of money we paid and based on the description saying "scratch resistant" we are very upset with this product. This sink was supposed to last a lifetime and this is extremely upsetting for us as we just spent a lot of money completely renovating our dream home expecting to have good quality products. We have been using it gently and properly so there really isn't an excuse for this happening.

Very well made. Heavy...Lifetime guarantee on chips/scratches. Only issue is being able to remove the sink to change it out if anything happens. As far as a sink that is tough, quiet, looks great, and well design to fit existing cabinetry with little modifications, you can't go wrong with traditional cast iron. Having been the son of a plumber with many years of plumbing experience myself, this seems to be built even heavier than a traditional cast iron sink.

Love the look, not the performance

Two years ago, we installed this sink in a new kitchen. The apron worked perfectly in the install, and we loved the sink. Two years in, however, we find that the porcelain finish is very thin and has deteriorated to the point where it stains readily when any colored substance is in contact with it. Our former Kohler sink had a much more durable finish.

Stunning beautiful sink! However, it scratches VERY easily. We have to put rubber mats in bottom to protect the finish. That is a pain, because keeping the mats clean is extra work...and now I’m looking at mats instead of the beautiful sink.

This sink is gorgeous. And cheaper on Wayfair than anywhere else. The surface is not completely flat, so there appears to be a vague wavy texture to it, but it works. Water does pool around the drainstrainer (we did not purchase the Kohler one), and fair warning, do NOT set items on top of the divider. We have already scratched ours a bit. Easier install than most farmhouse sinks.

Words cannot express how much I love my new sink and kitchen remodel. What makes this sink special is that it maximizes the space of the cabinet. This is a 36" sink that can be mounted into a 36" wide cabinet. Majority of other farmhouse sinks you have to get a wider cabinet to mount it properly (36" sink into a 38" or 40" wide cabinet), and there ends up being a "frame" of wood around the front of the sink. This Kohler beauty is flush with the cabinet. Absolutely beautiful!!

I'm updating this a year later (and after install) just to reiterate how beautiful and functional this sink is. We like the self rimming feature because the cut in the cabinet didn't need to be perfect or trimmed out since the apron covers it all. We love it because it is so large and so deep, and the double bowls add to the functionality. I don't think we'd like a single bowl farmhouse sink--we like having a separate sink and garbage disposal drain. We chose quartz countertops in blanco white, and the biscuit color is a perfect match. We would definitely choose this sink again!
