Nothing is better for longevity and allergens

I have had the same Austin health mates for 32 years, and have added others. Filters continue to be available and are reasonably priced, and the air filtration continues to be excellent. The largest one can be noisier than some on the highest fan setting.

5 units in our Work Space

We have purchased 5 units, 2- Jr and 3-Plus, for our office space. Some rooms are huge and others are small. Its great to have different sizes of purifiers to suit the room size. The units provide clean air and give us peace of mind. Also love that the filters are good for 5 years. Easy maintenance, plug in and go.

I love my Austin Air Healthmate Plus Purifier

I actually got my 2nd order fulfilled 2 weeks ago. The first unit arrived damaged. I sent the unit back, and The Air Purifier Store was professional. They took care of my concerns and were in touch with me throughout the entire process. They too were concerned about the damaged unit! I honestly haven’t really noticed a difference in my home yet. Maybe it’s cleaning out all the toxins! I’ll follow up in a few months and give another review. For now I am satisfied and I appreciate this business! Improved health for MCAS/MCS

Bought this after moving into a brand new home, immediately after leaving my previous house due to mold contamination that was causing me illness. The new home had severe offgassing that was causing new health complications, so I bought a healthmate plus after reading about others who used this successfully for mold/mcs/mcas. It did the trick! I am sleeping through the night again and feeling steadily better. Solid unit and powerful.

The HealthMate Plus works great. It really moves some air on the high setting and is really quite on the low setting. I move this one up and down a flight of stairs every day and it's a little awkward. I guess I could just get another unit but I wish there was a unit about half the size that I could use in the bedroom and leave it there.

Lasts for years!

I bought my first Austin Air Healthmate Plus (junior) 20 years ago. I just had to replace it this year when the bearings started squeaking randomly and disturbing my son's sleep. The one I bought for my classroom a few years ago survived a awful ride in an elevator with the cord caught in the door one floor up. The cord busted off and the unit fell from the ceiling to the floor. I was sure it was not going to work again after that, but after my dad put in a new cord it has still worked perfectly!

austin air for cars too!

We bought the Austin Air Healthmate, since its made for chemical sensitive people; primarily the poisonous VOC's we are inundated with. We purchased a new car, and of course the "new car smell", is VOC's. We have the Austin Air, strapped to the back seat, and it runs continuously....on an extension cord when home.....and through a converter attached to the auxiliary, when we are driving. The difference of the air is incredible. Much better than I even hoped for. I can barely detect the new car smell, and I'm not getting sick when I'm in the car. :)

This is my 3rd Austin Air Unit!

I love this air purifier! I have 2 older ones that are about 28 yrs old and they still run. They run all day everyday. I thinks it's an extremely well made air purifier and it clears out odors in a room very quickly. The filters last 5 years. I'm extremely happy!!!!

Great product

I hesitated to purchase the Austin Air Healthmate Plus, thinking I could get by on a less expensive air purifier. Then I did the research. I have Toxicant Induced Loss of Tolerance (TILT AKA environmental illness). The wildfire smoke from Canada has been constant where I live and to my shock and dismay, the smoke quickly activated my TILT symptoms to a point that I could not function fully. By using the Austin Air Healthmate plus along with prudence, I have regained my full function and find much relief in having clean air to breathe on the less than desirable air quality concern days. Plus it helps me to sleep better because I am not coughing and choking at night. I am so glad to have found such a product and the expense was worth it.

I would buy again and recommend to others.

We purchased this to remove pet odor. My son has a large Weimaraner that sleeps in his bed room and the odor was quite noticeable. After trying 2 other air purifiers that did not work I purchased this one. It works great! Exactly as promised.

Best Air Purifiers Out There

I've owned several different types of air purifiers and Austin Air manufacturers the highest quality machines that I've used. They are easy to use and understand. I like to keep the machines near the most concentrated areas of my house. They blend in nicely with household furniture, not sticking out at all. Putting the aesthetics of the machines aside, we've gotten many health benefits as well.

If you're looking for a high-end residential air purifier, this is it. Austin Air has served me well for many years and the 15-pound filter is a workhorse. Austin advertises changing the filter every 5 years, which is probably average, but it's really dependent on how bad your air situation is.

Working great!

We've only had our Austin for a few months, but I've already noticed a big improvement in the dust on surfaces. It has also greatly improved the freshness of our air with five cats and three litter pans! We've had a very wet summer and fall here in Pennsylvania and hope the Austin will prevent future mold problems. Great product and company. We're planning on buying two more quieter bedroom ones. The noise level of the Healthmate Plus is its only downside. But it's just fine for the living room.

EXCELLENT AIR PURIFICATION EQUIPMENT

When it arrives, this is easy to set up. The instructions are very simple and clear, which is very helpful for those who do not know how to use it. When I woke up in the morning after the first use, I immediately noticed differences in breathing and allergy symptoms. Glad I got it. It works very well, and the filtering function is great. It is also very quiet. Hope I bought it long ago!

Generates dust instead of capturing it

My wife and I are very familiar with the Austin Air Healthmate 400, aka HM400, since we owned and used one for many years. I believe the machines you are selling, the Healthmate B400A1 (black color) and the Healthmate B400B1 (sandstone color), are identical to, differing only in your designation of names, to the HM400.

I made it work

Unit was not working out of the box. Lots of impact damage. Fan mount was bent and rubbing the housing so it would not turn. I'm very good at restoring things so i straightened it all out, stripped the rust and repainted it. This would have been bad for a person expecting it to run out of the box, but I'm sure most of the damage happened during shipping. it was decently packed to. I blame the shipper. It was still a good deal for me. I saved a lot of money compared to my other options.
