This cooler is not black! The first cooler I received was not black and did not cool. Wayfair was great about replacing the order. Second cooler works but is not black either. The outside of the box says stainless steel is the color. It is not black stainless steel. Its plain old stainless steel. Otherwise, works great!

Button broke off within 6 months

I bought this for my mom, a senior, was good for about 6 months until she called to tell me that the button came loose and eventually fell off and was lost somewhere. No idea how that could have happened because my mom has arthritis and she’s the only who uses it… she told me to send it back and went back to using her 5 year old brita, that’s taking up room in the fridge, that hasn’t ever caused her problems or had any parts break or fall off. Hoping the company takes it back for a refund… cries

Bad product, worst vendor

I received a dented cooler for the second time and the wrong model (A14 instead of A14BLK) for the 4th time. I had Home Depot adjust the price to reflect the model I received and decided to keep it. Additionally, there is a bad taste coming from the cold water dispenser, and the condenser, which is loud, runs 80% of the time. The vendor was unresponsive to both me and Home Depot. What's interesting is Home Depot still lists the A14BLK even though they know the vendor ships the A14 model.

Cheap quality

Had for about two weeks, stopped dispensing. Cheap quality. Go for an American made dispenser. Not worth the hassle. I should have listed to the many reviews and bbb reports on the company.

We have been enjoying our water cooler immensely and love the hot water feature as well. The bottles are easy to change and the cooler is relatively quiet. A great purchase so far!

It was not high enough, We had to buy the additional pedestal. Now we have lift the heavy bottle up into the cooler.The first cooler had a huge dent in the front.It was returned. We have the 2nd cooler and so far it's working. We have the replacement for about three weeks. So far it's worrking fine.

First one damaged badly. Had to buy another.

No review on item yet. First one was damaged. Large dent in upper left stainless and upper door broken internally. Found black pieces of plastic and then saw door would not close. YOU WOULD THINK THE MAKER COULD PACK THIER PRODUCT TO BE PROTECTED DURING SHIPPING. DUH.

Love this product

It is exactly what I was looking for. Great addition to my entertainment area. Love the fact that you can get hot & cold water. The black & stainless design is great with my other stainless appliances

Avalon A14 bottom load water dispenser

Not happy with this product. Avalon cleans the product so that you get a clean dispenser, but then you have to rinse it with warm water to flush the chemicals out of the dispenser. Well we did that and for some reason the cold water work and the cool, but the gages for the hot water is not pushing out the hot water. I boutht this cooler because I wanted a self cleaning dispenser, but then I leaned you still have to clean it out every 6 months. What's the point of self -cleaning? I then called the customer service number, but of course a recording came on and instructed me to go on line to support and let them know what the problem was. This is no custer service to me. What's wrong with talking to someone?

wrong color and dented

I waited a week for this to be shipped to my local Home Depot Upon pick up it was the silver model instead of black and it was dented in three places along the face. Very disappointed. This seems to be a recurring theme after looking at other reviews. Buyer beware.

Filters

I love the water cooler but what I did not realize was the filters are crazy expensive. They run around $100. So if you are using the bottled water buy the Avalon without filters. If the filters were a lot cheaper this review would have been a 5 star but with the cost of the filters I feel that it is not worth it.

Excellent dispenser

This three temperature, room, cold and hot water dispenser is similar to the InstaPure we replaced but much better. Much quieter, upgraded tech controls and more efficient emptying the bottle of water completely. I've seen other reviews that suggest the back of the unit needs to be 8-inches from the wall for efficient hot water heating and these reviews initially kept us from making this purchase. But the set-up manual suggests a 4-inch gap. Our unit is actually a bit less than 4-inches and the hot water heats perfectly. Ordering online from Lowes was easy. Quick and efficient delivery. We recommend this water dispenser.

We had one exactly like this and needed to replace it. This one has the same function, but this one looks more modern and matches out decor better. Love that it has a cold, hot and cool water feature, it also has a clock which I thought was unnecessary, but I reference the close more than any other our house. I’d buy again.

So far so good. Loved the way you package you products. Very impressed by that. Arrived perfectly. I'm an Avalon fan. I have a 54 bottle Avalon Wine Cooler which I love. I like your documentation too. Very good. I'm going to love this water dispenser. My sister has one at her house too.

Great Water Cooler

This unit is easy to use and works like it's supposed to, without problems. Easy to setup and so far water is nice and cold when you want it. It also has a room temp. feature that I use when getting water for coffee machine. Clean water is a key factor of staying healthy and it is just my wife and I using it so we get by with using just three bottles in a month.

Second unit to stop working after a year

This is our second Avalon bottom loader. The first, cold water stopped coming from the spout at around the one year mark. Luckily they were able to replace that one.

Replacement

SUPER QUIET, you never really hear the motor engage at all, if it's cooling the water, you'll see an additional green LED light on front, if it's empty, you don't sit there listening to a pull endlessly sucking air, instead, it simply flashes a red LED to replace. Also, EASY connection as it doesn't have to be secure, takes two seconds to hook up another bottle. Great dispenser, have been using it for over 3 mos now.

Product matches its description.

Easy setup and works as advertised. Peel all the film off, plug it in, load water, and give it a few hours to temp adjust. Have only had mine 1 week and have yet to test hot water, but there is a clear distinction between the other 2 cool/cold settings. Bumped a star for the plastic-heavy build. Was expecting a bit more high-end material (stainless steel maybe) than just the front opener. Otherwise, dispensers work perfectly with a press of any of the 3 buttons. Machine low-rumbles for the duration of a fillup, and a few seconds longer. Not too distracting.
