Basic simple overhead light

This overhead light holds 3 bulbs, so provides enough light, but the cage that goes on the base seems to be merely decorative. This light is simple and very basic but serves my needs.

Just what I’ve been looking for to replace a very dated dining room chandelier. Transitional yet traditional, very classy. Understated elegance.

Questionable description of product

The chandelier arrived quickly and well packaged. I expected a pleated shade, like a tuxedo shirt, since the description of the shade said it was a “tuxedo” shade. I don’t know what makes the plain black shades “tuxedo?” The fabric covering the shades is very thin and when lit you can see right through the fabric to the white backing. I will have to replace the shades with an opaque black shade to keep the look when lit.
