Difficult to set up, doesn’t work as described. Had to send one back for big dents. Got the 2nd one, many dents, but needed for sun protection. Was not offered any discount for keeping the dented version.

We love everything about our Pergola. Hired Mr. Handyman to assemble our pergola and it looks fantastic. The adjustable shade is great

I have had nothing but trouble with the cover on top, we have had it up on are deck for three weeks and have had nothing but trouble with it, the rain puddles between the rafters and keeps pulling it down, tried extra rope to keep it tight, added extra strapping between the rafters that help but we still needed to push off the water that puddled to keep from pulling it in, Today we had a breezy day maybe 15 mph breeze and it pulled the cover tie down strings off of one side

The pergola metal was very thin and bent easily. Don’t recommend

Instructions were simple to follow. Diagrams for upright rod brackets on four corners were not specific as to how the brackets aligned on the columns. Also need to include detail of ensuring rod is placed into bracket on top most bracket to ensure it is secure. We figured out during assembly but not called out on instructions. Metal is not very thick so it can dent very easily when attaching bolts.

Simple, yet sturdy. I ended up assembling the entire thing myself!! Love the double canopies. It rained right after I got it assembled on our deck!!!. Some sagging and water pooling but not extensively. I had to skip step 3 and do other steps. I was able to bungee the posts to our deck railing while I got the cross pieces on top of the posts. Glad I had the corner braces in place before i did the cross pieces. Also..recommend attaching rings onto poles and THEN fasten the pole backets onto the posts.Only one screw on a D section had thread issues. Not a show stopper. I recommend adding some sort of plastic buffer inside the curtain rod rings to prevent noisy and damaging metal on metal noise. I managed to wrap some packing foam inside the ring to prevent clanging. Great for East west sun issues !! J

Assembling was difficult and requires two - four people. All the parts doesn’t fit.

The frame is sturdy and looks good, but the canopy is very lightweight and the bars that hold it are flimsy. Trying to figure out a way to add weight to make it more functional. Even a light wind causes it to twist and flop. Sale price was good though.

Enjoying the shade

We are a 78 year old non-mechanical couple. We were determined to set this up by ourselves. We did need help for 5 minutes holding one upper corner but other than that we put this up ourselves. We completed this in one day. Instructions...there really aren't any. There are pictures of steps but nothing to tell you how to structurally handle building this. No problem if you have experience with this kind of structure but we had NONE. Yet, here we are with lovely much needed shade for our dog's yard.

Poor design

My order had some damage during shipment with pieces with minor bends and the brackets were missing. The company shipped new brackets, but still omitted two.

Flimsy

Relatively easy to put together. Did it with my wife, she helped stand the sections up and connect. Now for the not so good parts. The unit once assembled is not very stable. Even lag bolted the base covers to the deck, still not stable. Post connection to the base is ok, but not solid. the top connections to form the square (bought the 10x10) are inadequate at best, would have been much better if there were angle brackets connecting corner piece sto the top pieces. Unit looks good.

[Rewarded Review] Quality construction with shade

I recently got this steel arched pergola for my pool deck. This is being used to replace a Cantilever Offset Umbrella that can be a pain and doesnt always give enough shade. This does give off a nice amount of shade. This did require 2 people to put this together but it was easy enough to build. The cover is adjustable and removable if you want. I will probably hang some led lights around it to be used at night too. I would definitely recommend this for someone looking for something different than an umbrella.

A little flimsy at the connection joint. Otherwise it works ok.

Nicely constructed, however hardware was incomplete short 17 screws. Too heavy to return to store. Have to improvise and purchase compatible hardware

Yes we are enjoying using it, and it was very easy to get together.

Beautiful & great price

I searched for many gazebos. This one was a great value. It was pretty simple to assemble. Putting the legs on with 2 people was a challenge but we did it.
