A great futon, difficult to put together

This is a great looking product! It was difficult to put together. Taking it down for use was also slightly difficult.

THIS FUTON IS REALLY GREAT! THE QUALITY & THICKNESS OF THE MATTRESS IS SO COMFY! THE WOOD IS REALLY NICE AND NOT CHEAP LOOKING! EXCELLENT QUALITY!

Pretty and sturdy

Pretty wood, nicely finished. I opened Box 2 first, and the instructions were in box one. I struggled thru, using the YouTube video. The inner spring mattress is a bit stiffer than just a stuffed one. I can only get the futon frame to go in two positions, but maybe that’s all it is supposed to do? It is sturdy and pretty and I feel lucky to have made such a good buy, in that it was like 200 less than similar futons.

We have ahd this for a few years and it has held up well. Like the style very much!

Solid Frame - Lumpy Mattress

The frame is nice, but the mattress is lumpy and the color does not look the same as it does on the website. It’s closer to a denim look color.

Great Quality Kern full size futon

We love our futons, they are so comfortable to sit or sleep on. Nice thick cushion. Very well made, and easy to put together!

A nice unit but takes a few hours to assemble. Directions are good but do not mention "not to over tighten the fasteners", they can strip out.

I put it together by myself and I'm no expert. It was a bit challenging, but manageable. I did need help to lift the seated part onto the frame. the mattress is unbelievable comfortable. Definitely not the old school college futon!

The futon is very well made and the frame is sturdy. The color was darker than it appeared but the linen fabric is nice. A bit of a challenge to assemble but the video from the company was helpful. However, it's not a comfortable day couch (at least for me). The seat deck is at an angle rather than laying flat (as my futon in the past did) so also not a good napping couch - you roll back towards the fold/seam area. I slept on it one night and it seemed okay, but I did find myself laying on the larger back half to avoid the the fold area. Also where I sit on the couch, I can see the piping along the seam of the futon starting to fold under. It's not reversible either. If I had seen this in a store and sat in it, I would have said no.
