Poor Quality
We just put in this bathtub. We haven't even used it, just put water in to make sure the plumbing was ok. Drained water and see all sorts of small orange rust spots. We already paid contractor to put tub and tile in. Do NOT BUY Kohler the quality is not there. We feel stuck. Don't know what to do now.
Three strong guys brought it inside. Thank you.
Missing Tub
I never received the tub. It was lost in the shipping process. It was difficult to get answers from the shipping company. I finally received a refund.
Thin porcelain, and the anti-slip grips get dirty easy and can't really be cleaned well.
The first one had a defective drain and would not properly seal. The second installed ok. The non-slip grips are impossible to keep clean and always look bad. The porcelain is super thin. Mine got rubbed through by a plastic shower seat. wrecked it. Junk
the item was well packed and arrived on time and undamaged. it is cast iron and therefor very heavy. due to the small size of our bathroom, it took 4 people to lift it into place in order not to damage the walls. looks great, I love the lines of the bellwether tub.
Quality tub! Not too high which is great for getting in and out and love the cast iron material. Keeps tub warm for a long time and is sturdy and well made. Just note that it is VERY heavy. The delivery team was great putting it right away not my living room and then took two of my contractors to get it into place in the bathroom.

Absolutely perfect, but disappointing
cautionary warning for other buyers... we absolutely loved this tub, even with the "bumpy" finish that other reviewers complained about. Unfortunately- both times we ordered this tub it came damaged. Once with the packaging damaged and the last time the packaging was perfect but tub was still damaged. We didn't have the time to try and order this tub for a 3rd time. Had to settle for a cheaper acrylic Kohler tub. very sad about it.
Very expensive and so thin that light came through
I checked review a lot of tubs and all complains about cracks etc. I thought then more expensive than better it will be …However, it came and when plumbers start to install it I noticed lights came through wall of this bathtub.
Open the box prior to accepting the delivery.
The bathtub was damaged--the enamel on the cast iron was cracked and failing. The bathtub was apparently mishandled in shipping or delivery--dropped?
I just received the bathtub few hours ago. All I can comment on so far are the two guys who carried a very heavy tub (more than 300 pounds). They were very professional, pleasant and efficient. In other words the delivery was seamless.
The tub arrived damaged. Had to return and the company that handled the pick up sent an email to pick a day but then came a completely different day after waiting around all day on the chosen day. Had to rebuy from a different company. If you order do pick up from store and somehow get a 300lb home as HD will check the tub for damage.
Came in very damaged, and late. Home Depot was great at refunding though. Just a hassle because we live an hour from the store. We had to return it to get refund.
Enamel was thin and see through near the drain. The drain hole was also chipped.
Not worth the money
Bought this tub as part of my home renovation. Noticed rust spots on the tub prior to using it. Very disappointing considering the price of it. When I sent an email to Kohler customer services to complain about it, they suggested to buy a cast iron cleaner. Why should I have to pay for it on a brand new tub? At least offer it for free. Still haven’t heard back from Kohler when I made that suggestion.
Worst experience ever!
Order this tub - when it was delivered it had a crack down it so the delivery people took it back. Waited for the return to go through then ordered another one. A few days after the expected delivery date I still hadn’t heard from the delivery service so I called HD. HDrep said it was lost in transit and they would have to do a return. Within a day I get a call from delivery service stating they have the tub and are setting up a delivery date. Tub was delivered and had part of the enamel missing. They didn’t take it off the truck. Completed a return and I reordered for a third time. Here is where it gets unbelievable- I had a delivery time set up for 7-11 on a Sat. morning. They showed up around 7:30 with no “we are on our way call” that we got with the other two. But no big deal, we saw them, got our shoes and a coat, went outside and they were pulling away. They unloaded the cast iron tub and left it in our front lawn! That’s not even one of the options when ordering (porch, threshold, or room for additional fee). We chose threshold but also have a large pirch that it could have been left on. I called immediately to have them come back before they got too far away. My husband and I wouldn’t be able to carry it in and we shouldn’t have to pay our contractor to show up on a Saturday to move it. It took an hour to get it sorted out and another hour and a half before the delivery people returned. Once they returned, one acted concerned about a small patch of ice on step and wanted salt. We use alcohol so I said I can put alcohol on it. He ignored me and started moving the tub, so he obviously just wanted to be difficult. He made all kinds of noises as it was being moved in the house and then they did not put it down gently. He then hung around like he wanted a tip- are you kidding me! Good news is the tub looks in good shape but I read they can crack in cold temperatures and it was left in the yard when it was 20 degrees and snowing. We will see if it cracks once it warms up.
Used in bathroom renovation. This tub is really nice and is a big improvement over the light weight tub options. It weighs 300+ pounds, so have a team ready to move it. Expensive, but how many times in your life are you going to replace a tub?
The tub has cracks in the ceramic. I called and only received a partial credit. This does not cover the cost to reglaze the tub. Very disappointed.
Great bathtub
Great simple design. Clean lines and perfect for a regular sized bathroom. Arrived in great condition.
Horrible products n customer service
Kohler gave me a tub that is defective. Had a rep from Kohler come out to look at it. The fiberglass around the whole tub is not up “ not up to Kohler standards” is what I was told. This was noticed after tub was installed unfortunately. I’m sure I’m not only one that got a tub like this. It’s prettier clear it should have never distributed for sale. It’s been 5 months and I’m still wait for a resolution! Don’t buy from Kohler beware!!
