1/4" thick glass is thinner than we wanted, but the style works well for out purposes.
[Rewarded Review] Great tub door panel.
Phenomenal tub frame door. This is ideal for if you have a small renovation, you’re trying to do but still give an upgrade to the bathroom. The shower tub is very easy to install with your appropriate tools and determination. Manufacture provides all the necessary hardware to install you just have to buy a drillbit, and some silicone caulking to ensure door doesn’t move. Overall, very happy with the ease of installing the glass frame tub panel. I would recommend having somebody else help you hold the door.
[Rewarded Review] The most upscale looking shower door I have ever seen
I was initially very intimidated by the idea of installing this frameless shower door. The installation process was actually surprisingly straightforward. It did involve drilling into the wall but that was the hardest part. The glass door itself is extremely sturdy so I have no fear of it shattering if my children abuse it.
[Rewarded Review] Not a good design for our use.
Low rating for functionality. Note we fruit these doors before committing to drill into our tile. Pros - high quality materials; glass, hardware, hinges etc.
[Rewarded Review] Quality bathtub screen on a budget
I used to have a shower curtain in my daughter’s bathroom and needed a change. I can definitely say that glass doors open up the bathroom and give it a more polished look. These doors are semi-framed, which I like better than framed. Also, they are heavy duty tempered glass and feel high end. They are definitely a DIY friendly option because you don’t need to worry about cutting any tracks to fit. The only thing you will cut, it’s the rubber water seal that goes on the bottom and between glass panels. If you have tiles on your wall, make sure you have diamond or tile bits, and know how to drill and not crack tiles. You need 4 anchored holes to attach the door to the wall. I love that the door folds and can be tucked away.
[Rewarded Review] Form, function, and safety along with a super easy install
Wow, what a difference this tub door made to our entire bathroom! We've been wanting to install a glass panel for a while. We didn't want a panel without any door to make access and cleaning easier. The single-panel, no-door options also tended to be shorter, which provides much less splash protection. This option from Home Depot has a door that swings both ways, and the primary panel that attaches to the wall also swings both ways. Really ups the game for the entire setup in terms of function. Installation was super easy. Drilling was required only for the wall, not for the tub, which is greatly appreciated. Only 4 holes needed to be drilled through the tile to attach the flange. I did the entire assembly and installation alone, with the exception of when my husband was needed to hold the doors steady while I attached the doors to the wall flange. When attaching the hinges, be sure not to tighten them all the way until all the fasteners are in both sides; this way, the doors align themselves perfectly. The sweeps provided for the bottom are notched on the ends to exactly fit the other components, so the seal is water tight everywhere it needs to be. There is a gap between the sweep on the primary door where it meets the wall flange, but the instructions show that a bead of calk should be extended around the bottom to close that gap. The gap between the two glass panels is closed by a very well designed rubber and plastic trim piece. There was some difficulty coaxing that under the hinges, but a popsicle stick did the trick. The glass is tempered, and is coated with a "blast resistant" coating on one side. Because we installed this opposite how it is shown in the pictures, that coating ended up on the outside of the door. I don't think it will be an issue with our standard shower setup. The bathroom now looks cleaner, brighter, and bigger! What a bonus from a product that is really good looking and very functional. We're totally happy with this tub door.
