gorgeous! the contractor complained that it didn't come with gaskets so he had to make them himself; I'm not sure if they were necessary though...it does seem like everything aligns properly enough to not need them.
Great looking shower glass
This is ready good look and I love the way the black trim finishes off the install. Functionality is good, but remember when choosing this style of shower closure. You really need to employ a squeegee inside the shower to make sure water doesn't cover the floor when door opens. Other then that it make for a really nice looking tub shower combo.
Door failure
Totally a horrible shower door. Had a professional glass company come and install it. They have been back 4 times because like everyone else's reviews the door continues to sag out of alignment and contacts the opposite glass. First review I've ever written on anything but I hope I can save someone else heartache
We used a similar shower style before in another house. We have not installed this particular configuration yet, but can say that the Clearmax technology on the glass is superior to anything else that we have seen available. Very little maintenance required to keep the glass looking clear and fresh. I have been impressed with what is available from Dreamline and have no issues when purchasing from them.
Great Modern shower glass within budget range
Good looking, good price for what we need for our shower glass. The product was fairly easy to install by two people who had never installed shower glass before. Would be easier if the floor was perfectly leveled. Otherwise don’t forget to adjust your level before glue ur glass in. Shipment arrived a week late though. But over all, good price.
This product is horrible. I have a lot of scratches on the door and on one section. Plus this door is not for a 58 opening. Its for 58.5. I contact you about this twas and you just transferred me to company how make this door. They just trying put everything on me. I pay a lot for the door and now I have to order one section for another company. That going to cost me 400 more. Is there anyone to help me with this problem
just an observation
I have read through the reviews. All problems found were installation problems. /when I found dreamline years ago, sure its a slow install, and a few things learned along the way. I have installed probably 50 by now. Still the best Ive found. When it comes to sag on the hinged panel, you learn, tighten the screw really good, then again for minimum of two days. leave extra room to account for sag on gap beween panel. Their measurment instructions are poor though.
This product's hinges are absolute garbage. Honestly, I'm so, so upset with the quality... We've had it professionally installed, and tried to correct the issue multiple times with no avail.

The door looks/works great in our guest bath. The directions leave something to be desired. Luckily my husband and I are experienced remodelers. I'm not overly happy with the waterguards but I do like the overall look of this shower door. We too had to readjust the door and shims after the first hang. I'm holding onto the extra gasket in case of future adjustments.
Shower door for for basement bathroom remodel
I just recently bought and installed this shower door into my new full bathroom which I built in my basement. Full disclosure--I'm a DIYer who has done remodeling work (framing/drywall/tiling/finish carpentry) on my house. I bought this particular door for the following reasons: (1) it fit my small shower stall opening (39-1/2 inches) (2) it came in bronze (3) the price was right (4) i liked its looks/style (5) previous good experiences with the Home Depot on internet orders. I did mot of the the install by myself, however I did have a friend assist me with carrying/supporting the shower door. The install is not really that difficult and most home owners already have most of the tools needed if they perform regular repairs and maintenance on their homes. Oddly enough, one of the tool(s) not mentioned by the manufacturer was glass suction cups. Although the hinge and side panels are not that heavy, you really shouldn't be handling the main shower door without suction cups. A pair of cups can easily be obtained for less than $20 and they will prevent you from accidentally dropping/damaging a $650 door. The installation instructions provided are hit/miss. I had to read them 3 times in order to decipher what they meant. It's funny--the instructions recommend that the door be installed professionally. I strongly recommend that installation guides be written professionally by people familiar with writing such documents. That would answer a lot of questions up front and prevent common install errors as well as cut down on the number of phone calls to customer support. Providing pictures with no supporting words is ridiculously useless and potentially ambiguous. Also providing the actual measurements of each glass panel would be helpful, especially when you're dealing with a door that can be installed into an opening that can vary up to 1/2 inch. Neither of the 2 side panels were their advertised widths (each was 3/16 inch smaller). After installing both panels and measuring my remaining opening for the door, I became nervous when the measurement came in at 26-7/8 inches. If the door was truly 26 inches, this fit was not going to work. Luckily the door was really 26-3/8 inches (the 3/16 difference from both side panels was added onto the door's total width) so the spacing was perfect. Structurally, the door is as solid as it is beautiful. Dreamline also did a very nice job of packing the door to prevent it from being damaged during shipping (it comes in 6 separate boxes). Overall, I'm very pleased with this door and would recommend it to others. In fact, I intend to order another Dreamline shower door from the Home Depot when I remodel my master bathroom early next year.
Door keeps slipping from the hinges
This has been installed for about 2 years. The glass is heavy and the finished product looks nice, but the door is so HEAVY that it keeps wanting to slip from the hinges. Also, when the door is wet there is no way to keep water from dripping all over the floor when it is opened. I squeegee the door before I open it, but the accumulated water on the tub's edge is swept onto the floor every time. I wish I'd gone with the traditional sliding door.
Although well made we were disappointed that we could not use this door in the end. In the remodel of our hall bathroom we chose a new tub and had the walls retiled. We considered measurements of walls and knew there was room for out of plumb walls (ours were not). What was not mentioned anywhere was to look at the corners of your tub, where they meet your tiled wall. Our tub’s sides have a very slight curve that we never noticed (we were more concerned with choosing a comfortable tub that was not slippery) Therefore the right angle of the doors did not fit into the slight curve. DreamLine did not help us when we reached out but WayFair to the rescue. They understood our dilemma, helped us find another door that would work with our tub and credited us a large part of the purchase price so that we were not out hundreds of dollars. Thank you Wayfair!!!

Extremely heavy glass door and side panels. Very important to install wall jambs into studs (which is not prominent enough in the instructions). Also important that the tub threshold be level (not cantered too much to drain in the tub). High quality product though. Finished product looks fantastic. Self closing hinges keep the door securely closed. Would definitely recommend this DreamLine door.
[Rewarded Review] Looks nice, but overly complicated install
We selected this shower door for our bathroom remodel as it was one of the few we found in our size that allowed for a "centered" door configuration, as well as allowing for the door being reversible. The installation for this door was stupid, to put it mildly. It was very time consuming, the instructions were quite unclear, and left my husband and I scratching our heads on several steps. Full disclosure, my husband is a professional home improvement contractor with his own business, and while I'm not in the trade, I have extensive experience in home and automotive installs. He was quite frustrated with the amount of fabrication and cutting required on our end, and in his words he's "never had to cut so much stuff to get a shower door to fit/work". None of the metal frame pieces were the appropriate length, or even close. They basically provided long 6' pieces of metal to the end owner and are like, "here, have at it, cut to your heart's content." Because of this, it seems cheaply made overall. And while the door is reversible (we have it as a swing out, handle on the left) it doesn't close snugly. This allows for water to escape. If you make sure the door is as snug as possible before using the shower, the water beads up on the bottom of the door on the shower pan, and then falls out onto the bathroom floor when opened. While I understand this may be an innate challenge with a swing out door configuration, the door we had on prior to the remodel was the same configuration and we never had that issue. I will say, overall, it looks nice, but the install and innate functionality/quality seems to be a bit lacking.
I love my frameless hinged tub door! It looks sleek and clean and the hinged door is easy to open with plenty of room to get in and out of the tub. Having no track makes bathing grand children very easy! There are durable, clear plastic barrier edges along the door edges so water does not leak out. According to our installer, the anchors that were supplied were too small for the weight of the door and he had to put additional toggle bolts to support the door but in so doing, the door is extremely secure and seems like it should last us for years to come! I highly recommend this product.
Solid glass product, installation challenging
This was the last item for me to finish in my bathroom. I personally already did the plumbing, electrical, tiling, vanity, and toilet. My measurements fit their tolerances; however I didn't take into account that each wall was tilting the same direction. Therefor I did not have 90 degree angle between my wall and tub, about 88 on one side and 92 on the other side. This caused me to figure out my own adjustment procedures not detailed in the instructions. I will criticize the leeway given in the hinge attachments on the glass panels. No matter how hard they are tightened, the door will slip until the hinge inside rests on the glass cutout. I ended up adding plastic shims inside the hinge to keep it from drooping.
DO NOT BUY
Gorgeous bathtub door but not worth it. I read the review that was left on the site but ignored it and decided to buy it anyway because I figured it’s only a missing gasket. Big mistake!!! The door constantly get loose and the glass bangs against the other glass I, afraid it’s gonna break. So I tighten it often until I get to Lowe’s and see if I can get someone to help me with the gasket that is missing from $500 Purchase that I made. I mean what is so hard that the company could not add that to the box. It indicates that it’s there but I am a very organized person and it was not in the box at all. So buyers beware missing parts in this purchase.....

A much better product, and much cheaper, than a custom cut frameless shower door. Just be sure about your measurements. These doors fit standard shower enclosure dimensions, and have a little adjustable ability. So far, I have used this shower door for over a year, and am very happy with it. No warping, leaking, cracking, or hinge failures. Note to home renovators: measure your bath reno ahead so that these doors will fit the opening of the shower. Don't build the shower and then find out that you have to pay for custom glass.
Good Value
Nice door. I had received quotes of $2800 - $3500 (installed) from local glass companies to supply and install a door identical or near identical to this one. I paid $670 (on sale) from Lowe's. This is a two man job. The glass is heavy. The directions are pretty brutal. The problem is with this door is that they must sell the components used in this door in other door combinations. I received 5 instruction booklets and none of them were explicit in installing this door in order. Take your time. Read the manuals before you start. I could install this door (knowing what I know now) in 2 or 3 hours. It took all day, & I was prepared for it to take all day. It was worth it. I'm very handy and had my brother assist (who is also very handy). This is definitely a DIY job that saves you lots of money.
