the light was not fastened to the pump I used it that way for a couple of weeks just had the light propped up. I pulled it out of the pond because the light was flickering so I tried to pop the rounded piece back into the threaded ring it it came off wires hanging out. Now I have no aeration for my fish. It is a good idea all in one just did not work for me

I purchased this filter for my quarantine tank to temporarily house some new koi for a month. The tank itself is about 300 gallons & it was starting to turn green with the old filter I had in it previously. After 2 days of using this new one, the water was clear and the green algae was practically gone. The UV light that comes with this filter may look small, but it does an incredible job with floating algae eradication. So far I do a weekly rinse and cleaning of the filter and internal components and this thing keeps the water looking great. It also did a great job during a heat wave when algae blooms are pretty uncontrollable. I highly recommend this for a small pond or quarantine tank.
Great filter, bad parts availability
Purchased this unit to clear up green water in our fish pond. Worked great ! Cleared up water, fountain looks nice especially with the light at night . Only bad side is you can't buy parts . The pump impeller is designed to fail if clogged ...... but unless it's under warranty ,you can't buy another one. We called the company ..... they sent us one under the 2 year warranty ,but when asked to sell us extras ,the reply was " We don't sell them" . You will love this unit UNTIL the impeller fails . Make sure you keep your receipt for the warranty!!!!

Works very well. Put this in our approx 125 or 150 gallon outdoor pond, and the water had cleared noticeably within 24 hours. Within two or three days it was extremely clear. It clears so well that I decided to unplug the UV light and wait until the pond starts to get green again before plugging the UV back in. This way I can reduce electric use and maybe extend the life of the UV bulb. This is actually an advantage of there being two power cords — one for the pump and one for the bulb. I didn’t care for the LED light so I just took the bulb out — it’s easy to unscrew the light cover and remove the little LED bulb.

Works Great Water clean up crystal clear.
Great product. You just can not buy parts. The Impeller Complete part No. 1051859 is made to fail. It has plastic fins that act as shear pins. When it fails you can not replace the part unless it under warranty. At least I have not been able to find one. Other than that it was great. I will not spend 200.00 to replace the whole Aquogarden 5in1 600 large pond kit.
