Comfortable chair and has lasted longer than most comparable ones. Only downside is likes to creak at random times making it quite loud during some meetings. It’s been challenging trying to find where it need additional grease addedsprayed on to.

[Rewarded Review] not comfortable for me

This was a chair that was used in the store for people to try out the model. When I got it home and sat in it for a while, it seemed as if something hard was protruding against my rear end. i also didn't like the back rest, but others might like it. i returned it without any problem and got one that is great.

I've had my chair for just under a year. Arms began to peel and I could feel the seat cushion beginning to show signs of the 8 - 10 hour covid workdays. Still comfortable but I don't anticipate the seat feeling too comfortable in another year, especially if I continue to work from home. My in-office chair has lasted much longer.

This chair is remarkable! I have suffered lower back pain with my last 2 desk chairs, but this chair took care of that. No more back pain!!! It's so comfortable I'm so sorry I didn't purchase it earlier. Wayfair, you deserve the 4 stars for this one!

Comfortable, sturdy, reasonably easy to assemble

The chair is surprisingly easy to put together. It's an attractive chair that glides on my area rug easily. It's comfortable ... now... but it did take a bit to get used to the lumbar support. The support pillow is bolted to the seat & the back is separate from it (secured using the arm rests) The result is that the lumbar pillow moves somewhat separately from the back - which is a decidedly odd feeling. That said, it does encourage better posture & I have grown to find it comfortable during the week I've had it. The seat is reasonably well cushioned - it's not plush by any means, but it is comfortable enough to sit in for an entire work day.

After reading the Q and A that said this chair could be assembled without the arms, I settled on buying this chair. Not so. But it arrived quickly. Was fairly easy to assemble. I was able to do it in under an hour between meetings. It’s beyond comfortable. It makes having to alter my desk so the arms fit under the desk so worth it.

Great chair

I was looking for a chair for my son. When I saw this one it looked great online and read the description and decided to buy it. When I received the chair it was very easy to assemble. It looks great and it's very comfortable. I love it and I will buy another one very soon.

Comfortable for bad backs

As stated, this chair has a feature that actively tilts the seat and lumbar pad forward when you sit up and forward, tilting your pelvis into a more neutral position. For those with a tendency of legs going numb when sitting in a flat chair, this provides so much relief! The other reviewers complaining of feeling like they're going to fall out of the chair - well, what did you expect from a chair that specifically states it has an active forward tilt system, lol? Well made, sturdy, and very nice-looking chair, well worth the money.

5 Stars

This chair is very comfortable and offers great support. I took off the armrests, though, as they were at the same level as my keyboard. I couldn't lower them enough, and when I raised them high enough to be above the keyboard tray, They were uncomfortable for typing. I'm much more comfortable without the armrests, and I still get the support I need. I'm at my desk more than 10 hours every day.

I have a slip disk and related back pain issue, so I am very choosy when it comes to chairs. Moreover, I spend like 8-10 hours in my chair on the average. So no compromise there.

This chair was purchased as a gift for my significantly better half, who wanted/needs extra back support and has (minor) problems with circulation in his legs. Other office chairs over the years did not address these problems and the support and padding broke down quickly (within one year), even though the chair is only used for a few hours per day. The pelvic tilt function and seat design keep leg circulation at a normal level and the extra lumbar support, which can be added and removed as per necessity, has given his back the support and comfort he's been needing. The wheels are recommended for carpet, not hard wood or tile. Assembly was a breeze--done in about 15 minutes, and by one person. The chair is attractive and stylish, and appears it will last for a significant length of time.

OH MY GOSH!!! This is the BEST chair I have ever used!!! I have been buying office chairs for my sewing room for over 40 years and I have NEVER had one this good. I have surgical rods and plates and screws in my back and neck, as well as an artificial hip, and sitting for 8 hours while sewing is absolutely no problem because of the thick lumbar support and the wide stable base and the thick arm rests that give great support. I can easily adjust the height for my different sewing machines and I can lean back easily when I need to take a short break. The packaging was superb and the product well padded for shipping. I was amazed at how quickly it arrived from UPS as well as how easy it was to unpack and put together by myself. I only weigh 110 pounds so I was afraid I wouldn't be able to unpack it but I had NO problems at all. I will be buying two more for my husband and son for Christmas. Thank you for a superior product with a fair warranty!

Great looks, but it disintegrates

I bought a similar bonded leather Serta: After 1 1/2 or 2 years, the "leather" on the arms started to disintegrate. I thought perhaps it was skin oil...re-covered them with real suede. Next the seat started to peel in thin sticky blobs. I recovered the seat! The back has now started to shed all over my floors. If I'm not careful and pick up pieces every day, they get ground into the laminate floor by the chair wheels. Had i paid under a hundred dollars for this thing, I wouldn't complain. However I paid a premium price for a "quality" chair. While the chair itself is ok, the fake leather is pure garbage. Since the back is elaborately designed with multiple sections I've the choice of paying hundreds for reupholstering it or tossing a good chassis on the curb. DON'T BUY BONDED LEATHER!! I will never buy another Serta product in my lifetime.

Helping With Back Problems

I was in a car crash several years ago and bought this chair a while back. As it states it moves as you move in your chair allowing you back to move comfortably with the chair. I have found when I use the chair I have less pain at the end of the day for me personally. The quality and workmanship is excellent and I believe it helps. I don't feel as though I'm going to fall out of my seat as the other review states but I do feel it allows you to be more aware of your back and movement that keeps you from getting stiff.

I regret buying this chair!

This chair is well made and high quality. HOWEVER, it is very uncomfortable. That is why I am giving it a 2-star rating., ,,,,,, , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, I didn't realize what the description meant when it said this chair had "Active Seating Technology (AST)." As the description states, "AST offers continuous motion and support by pivoting the seat and lumbar with you as you move." , ,,,,,,,,,,,, , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, What this means is that you can not sit comfortably in this chair because the seat is made to tip forward, making it feel as if you are about to fall out of your chair! It is like a mini-nightmare being stuck in a chair that is constantly trying to tip you out. You never feel comfortable or relaxed., ,,,,,,,,,,,, , ,,,,,,,,,,,,, I really, really regret buying this uncomfortable chair!!!!
