Not a Non-Stick Aluminum Griddle

Terrible. The non-stick grille starts to lose the coating over time no matter what you do to protect it.

It peeled

I cleaned the stove with a stove cleaner and I didn’t even get to the griddle part before I noticed that some on the cleaner dropped onto the griddle and it peeled!!! Very disappointing, the rest of the stove is completely fine and never peeled or got stained. I Never got to use the griddle!!

This is my third time purchasing the griddle. The non-stick griddle starts to stick over time.

Replaced Griddle

Disappointed, the replacement Non-Stick Aluminum Griddle I bought did not work out; the coating is peeling off again as it did with the original griddle; I am not able to use the center since anything I try to cook sticks on the aluminum surface since there is no coating.

Non stick griddle

We really love this stove and purchased this model because we loved the non-stick griddle feature. Sadly, the coating already started peeling off. We did purchase this several years ago, but only started using the griddle this past year. I am sad at how it looks, but am not in a position at this time to purchase a better replacement (cast iron). You need to improve the quality of the non stick griddle.

Not good quality, griddle coating scratches

The griddle was a selling point for this gas range but the coating is scratched even with only using silicone utensils and not using anything metal to clean it. Very disappointing, and it’s hard to find out what material is used in the coating and if it’s now dangerous to cook on. The replacement is expensive and I don’t want it to just scratch again after a few uses.

ge profile stove - disappointed with griddle

we like our GE Profile oven and like the griddle except that the non stick coating is wearing off so I am unable to use it. I would love if there was a cast iron or a ceramic coated option which would be safe to use. Please let me know where I would be able to get a proper replacement so that I can start using the griddle again.

Griddle started peeling

Griddle started peeling within a few months of purchase. I bought the stove because of the griddle. Would love a replacement Bought in Chapin SC. The rest of stove. Is ok. Surface doesn’t clean well. Also advertised air fry but does not have that feature

Nonstick surface

I have the same expierence as others. The nonstick surface is coming off almost as if it is bubbling up in areas and it makes me hesitant to use it. I have only washed it in warm soapy water with sponge or dishrag. No scouring pads or metal utensils. Unit is five years old but this started within a year.

Nice stovw but bad quality griddle

We thought having the griddle in the middle was such a nice feature but it only lasted a few years and it started pealing . Now we don’t use it because we don’t want to risk flakes getting into our food.

Average life span for nonstick

Love having the griddle for making pancakes, but the nonstick didn't last very long. There is a sticky residue that won't come off and we don't want to damage the surface by cleaning it with a scouring pad. We only use silicone or other nonstick safe utensils. Looking at the replacement part and finding it to be more expensive than using pans instead, though that makes the griddle feature kind of pointless.

This is only 4 years old and coating is coming off on our food. Afraid to use it and expensive to replace!

Griddle is junk

Very disappointed with this griddle, the coating has come of almost completely with normal usage/washing (not fun/safe/healthy) having it come off on your food. For such an exp since part you’d think it would last longer. Also nearly all the rubber footings under the griddle and racks have come out. Very expensive purchase for the quality of the most used parts…

Griddle

As others have said the coating comes off this griddle with regular use and cleaning. It's just a sprayed on paint over aluminum, very disappointing as I bought the stove for this griddle. Expensive part to replace.

Non stick surface flaking

Joining the ranks with the same issue on our non stick surface. Very hesitant to buy such an expensive replacement part when it seems this is an unavoidable problem.

Griddle top doesn’t hold up

Coating is coming off of my center griddle and it has scratches even though I use a light sponge and dish soap to clean it like any other pan. We use it to warm tortillas so I’m not sure what would have done this. Why is the replacement part so expensive when it seems like several people have this issue? What other options are there? Having this 5th burner/griddle was a main selling point and now it’s unusable.

Hot Mess

Griddle is a mess even though only soap and water has been used to clean this. Why does it have so many scratch marks and abrasions when handling with proper care. It makes the stove look a mess. Also why is this so expensive to replace?

Griddle is a mess

The griddle is destroyed after a few uses and mild soap with sponge washing. It's an eyesore for the whole stove. Are there any good remedies? I have to order the same expensive one again only to be replaced again.

Griddle looks a mess

We have only used warm soap and water on this griddle and also rubber cooking tools and there is all kinds of scratches on this griddle. Why is griddle so expensive to replace and why is it so tempermental? My stove looks great other than this piece on it.
