I love this safe. It’s heavy enough that it would be somewhat difficult to pick up and walk off with. It has plenty of room for my purposes. I’m very satisfied with it and actually recommended it to a friend. Also caught it on sale so a great purchase.

The first one I received came busted. I returned it and had the replacement shipped directly to my local best buy. Upon getting there, I requested the staff to open it so we could ensure this second one wasn't busted. It was not. It is perfect! The instructions were extremely simple to follow. It's a hard, black box designed to resist fire which is what we wanted. The keypad and keys both open safe but the key mechanism doesn't operate smoothly. It often takes a few tries to get unlocked. It has no hole in the bottom for anchoring to the floor which we knew before purchase. It has 4 small holes on the bottom through which, what we assume to be fireproofing material (small beads/bits), exit the space between inner and outer wall. They were in the shipping box when received and continue spilling out when the safe is tipped or moved. Overall it seems solid and is cheaper than paying for a safe deposit box at the bank.

[Rewarded Review] Well built, wish had less plastic and way to secure to wall

Unit seems well built, though for something ‘Fireproof’ there is a plastic (undocumented) panel on the bottom, the inside of the door is plastic lined, and the keypad surround appears plastic. Guess the expectation is you’ll only be able to open it after a fire with the backup key (assuming the plastics don’t fill/jamb the keyhole). With the plastic inside, it would seem the contents may be plastic encrusted with much heat.

Overall great and simple for basic needs. 2 pin codes configurable. Lacks a wall Anchorage system. The weight is definitely a factor but kind of sad to not have this basic feature. Made in china
