Ordered two of these units online. First one arrived damaged. Returned it to store, processed re-order online. 2nd one arrives. It appears used, its damaged, has some type of odd bar code on it, door won't properly close, and some type of crazy plastic particles in the container. No one answers or returns calls at Honeywell. Returned for a credit, went and bought a Sentry safe.

This safe has obviously been dropped. I opened it and saw the top right corner had been dented a little, I didn't think too much of it thinking it'd been bumped within all the safes & is been on carpeted floor. I just now got around to seeing it up (past return date, of course). I put it on flat surface & the back right leg is dented up into the safe! It teeters. I hope it still works and who knows the waterproof & fireproof integrity now. This is obliviously a problem, the person above said 2 of theirs were damaged. I would recommend if not damaged.

Just received my safe. It is everything as advertised. Great size and easy to set up. Nice compact size. After my recent purchase(damaged)/exchange(damaged)/returned of larger Honeywell, I'm pleased with this one. Arrived in record time. Will serve all purposes I need.

So far, no issues with the safe. Easy to set up. We like that is it fire and water resistant. Only issue is we wish it was a little deeper. We tried to lay papers down inside and the door hit them when we closed it

Super heavy duty!

I know that this vault will work in a house fire.

I'm just using the keys lock for now. With all this stuff being delivered cause of the fire I haven't really had the time to work on the other lock.

It looked like it was a returned product, minor dent, and packaging was obviously redone. English manual was partly in Spanish, new pages had been stapled in. Honeywell is not the manufacturer, and specifically disavows any responsibility.

Too big and heavy. Should have gotten the smaller size. Very well made.

This is a great size it keeps your stuff protected and it's great you could fit it anywhere I suggest you get one of these

Great safe! Be careful of the batteries dying though, you have to have a key to open it to change the batteries and I lost my key very soon after getting the safe.

A good product but the name is a bit misleading

The product seems okay but reading the fine print in the manual reveals that an independent manufacturer licenses the name "Honeywell" -- ONLY the name. Honeywell -- a long-standing and highly reputable company -- has nothing to do with the design, manufacturer or warranty. Hopefully the performance will live up to the name. Other than that, the safe functions exactly as described. I bought it for its small size, having to fit into a tight space. Keep in mind you can't lay a standard 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of paper flat -- something I knew when I ordered it -- you have to either fold your documents or jury-rig a diagonal support -- which I did with some stiff wire. According to my research, there are 3 protections offered by a first-class safe: FIRE: The rating on this unit is excellent. WATER: It is only water "resistant," which might mean the water used to put out a fire could damage documents, so I store them in waterproof bags (which, hopefully, won't melt in a fire -- catch 22). THEFT: The unit doesn't come with mounting holes (which would destroy the fire protection) so security from theft is in the form of an audible alarm which sounds if the safe is jostled. Not terribly effective if its stolen when no one's around. I may have steel strapping, which can be bolted to the floor, fabricated for that. Nevertheless, all-in-all a decent unit.
