Will do what I need but I would not call it a fire safe, door doesn’t fit very good, to much slop/play

Good Security, Terrible Water/Fire Protection

There is absolutely no way that this safe is water resistant at all. The door sits loosely in the frame and there is no gasket or seal of any kind to prevent the ingress of liquid or vapor. It's a good size, pretty heavy, and I like that it requires both a key AND combination. Most safes of this type will open with either the key OR the combo, which is stupid. Having a pickable lock that can override a combination defeats the point of having the combination. I think the loose fitment of the door would also allow smoke to penetrate into the safe easily. And the thing has almost no heat insulation. It's really an above-average security safe, with no fire or water protection to speak of.

disappointed with product-good customer service

bought safe--was disappointed with internal size. couple weeks later combination would not allow key to be turned. I called customer service, verified combination and procedure, still unsuccessful. Called again...very patient and helpful. I could not open so I took it upon myself to open. I pulled the combination dial and found 4 screws, removed the screws and pulled shaft out which allowed me to turn key and open safe. I found the combination section of safe of poor quality. Called customer service and received approval for reimbursement or exchange. Will be visiting CTC this week.

Not too bad

Got this one today on sale. One of the four rubber legs is broken and would easily fall off if you lift the safe. Probably got damaged by store workers. But I have no desire to return or exchange it due to its weight. The leg works ok if you keep it in the normal position.

Absolute Garbage

This safe is terrible, its incredibly heavy, from its size it looks like it can hold quite a bit and since it is titled a "document safe" i was incredibly frustrated to find out that a standard piece of paper does not even fit inside the tiny internal compartment. The lock on my model was also garbage as any key turned the lock and the 2 metal bolts were smaller than a mini safe i bought for $50. I will be returning this as soon as possible.
