It's a nice piece, because I had loose cane rods, with c clamps. This part is all self-contained.

better if larger

Had to replace item on gate to back yard. Really needed something about 5times larger. It is working ok but not as solid as a larger size would be. This was only size available.

Fix the design

I have bought this product twice for two separate fences I’ve had to build. Both times, I’ve followed installation instructions and find myself having to fabricate it to work for my gate by taking a reciprocating saw with a metal cutting blade, and sawing off the metal piece that fits through the hole to allow the metal rod to move up and down. It’s all they had at the store, so I’m forced to buy this product and do this. Would love to see it changed.

I used these cane bolts to lock down the inactive leaf of a pale of doors I put on my shed. They were easy to layout and install with the directions on the package back.

We use it to keep a garage door closed. A small hole in the cement for it to fit into and it works as it is supposed to. It is easy to get up and down and that is important for me as I don't have a lot of strength.

Use this on my swinging gate for the fence I just built. Digs deep into the ground and is easy to unlatch. It’s got 2 ways to be used as a gate lock and either way is very easy to install.

Simple harware to keep shed doors open. Could be longer but, they work
