Twin bed
I put this together as I was supposed to. I then sat in the bed and it collapsed! It's those plastic end brackets on the 5 support boards that broke. You need something stronger like metal in lieu of plastic. I have a neighbor who can help me with this and talked about devising with metal material to get this corrected! I don't exceed the weight limit either. I would at least get some type of discount on this please. Thank you
Love it!!
Home Depot for the win!! After Bob’s discount furniture sent us a terrible bed frame, we went with home depot and thank god we did! Delivery was fast, and this bed is beautiful!! Perfect for my 4 year old’s room. Fits the twin mattress great and it is very durable, sturdy material!

This bedframe looks great. The effort to manually screw in without pre-existing holes or the use of a drill made it a bit difficult but the end result good. One small piece came off in delivery but could be glued back on.
Stop and go back!
A week after my order had been confirmed I got an email stating the bed was out of stock. 2 months later I finally received my 2 beds. While putting it together, I realized that some holes weren't pre-drilled, I had pieces that weren't all the same color and on the headboard of bother beds, it was broken and very noticeable. Money gone to trash. Go to a different company with better quality furniture.
You get what you pay for
This bed frame is sufficient for the purpose for which it was bought, namely occasionally sleepovers with the grandchildren. I don't have confidence it would last very long if used regularly by an adult. Made completely of particle board. Thankfully my husband is a carpenter and was able to drill needed holes that were not predrilled. We're okay with the product but not thrilled.
Do not buy
Having this set for more than 3 months, already have cuts and bruises on my knee. Especially the corners of the frame are so sharp that it cut your skin. Even the side edges cut the back of your hand when you change the mattress cover each time. Should have this product recall.
A nice kids bed.
I was looking for black furniture that would not break the bank and saw this bed here at The Home Depot. My son wanted black furniture in his new room remodel and this was a perfect find. The bed was well packaged and the assembly instructions were well illustrated. Overall, the bed assembly took a couple hours. I did add wood glue to the dowel pins during installation to tighten the bed up a bit. I chose a twin mattress here at the Home depot that fit perfectly. There are many twin mattresses that will work well with this frame. I have approximately two inches top and rear of my mattress which allows for linens. At this price point, I feel this South Shore Libra Pure Black Twin Bed Frame is a wise choice for a child's room at a great value. Money well spent.
Great transition bed for my toddler!
This is a very well made-sturdy bed. I bought it for my toddler to transition from the crib and she absolutely loves it! However there are a few cons: I did find that the twin mattress fits a bit smaller in the frame. The frame is a sturdy wood material with sharper corners and edges. It hurt my toddler getting in and out of the bed if she banged into it, so we had to put a soft tape around to protect it. Other than that, it's an affordable bed for kids.
Could have some improvements made to it...
Product itself is fine. Exactly what I expected it to be. However... it really needs to have predrilled holes for the screws. The provided screws have an edge to them, but, I found it to be a struggle that way alone. I predrilled them on my own... went too far in on one of them and went all the way thru. Now of course that looks bad, as it is quite obvious. Otherwise it’s simple and sturdy enough for what I need it for. If they could just take a few more minutes to predrilled... that would’ve taken my review to a 5. One other point is that it would be nice if they would’ve “finished” the bottom of all legs instead of leaving it raw particle board.
This bed works and does exactly what it is supposed to, however, the quality just seemed lacking a bit. However, we recognize this was more of a bargain price point and we are satisfied with what it is for that cost. However, we have purchased a queen bed in this same price range and was way more impressed with the quality. It does the job though and is holding up fine to the daily use of my kiddos.
great bed
Was excited to built this bed for my 5 year old son, but when unpacking, found a couple of headboard piece broken inside the package. The box it came in it is fairly heavy, so it would required 2 people to help carry across to where you going to assemble. I found that directions were okay to follow but find that some screws were not working and not label to know what screws is needed. I wished it was label on the bag. The directions say there was a blue bag, but instead saw a red bag. Some screws took time to screw in when there are no pre-drill holes inside the boards. Some parts were not finished and some did not have matching colors. The bed is sturdy and strong, but i feel that the headboard is wobbly when applying any heavy force on it. When completed and assemble it would required 2 people to lift it and reposition the way you want it to be position if you are going to move it around the house in the future. I hope to see it last through out my 5 year old education and through to college. I think the type of wood is particle. I like they provided a whole flat solid 3 piece board to support the mattress on top. I still prefer having a box spring on the bottom, for the duration and lifespan of the mattress.
It's an okay bed
I like the bed but it's only for those 100 lbs and less. The bed kept falling apart the bottom part kept dropping because the rails under the bed kept shifting left to right. It's strong bed otherwise it lasted me 4 years so not too bad. I would just suggest that anyone buying this bed should get a box spring or base before putting on the main mattress.

Overall the bed feels nice and sturdy for our toddler. It seems a little long for the twin mattress we ordered, about 4 inches. It took about an hour or so to put together, definitely easier with a power drill. The only down side is the edges are really sharp so you have to be careful, we are seeking options to prevent the cuts and scrapes.
Bad Design , Slats comes out easily , Potential Injury !!
Bough 2 of these for my kids and both have same issue . With little bit of movement/weight the slats come loose and fall off ..thus making the whole platform collapse .
Very Disappointed
This was poorly packaged and missing hardware. The instructions had all the hardware numbered and how many of each you need, but the hardware was just thrown into a bag with no labels. It was very time consuming to put together because some screws we had too many of and others we didn't have at all. Had to go digging through the screws in my tool box to find something that would work! Also the 3 boards that slide into the bottom of the bed to create a platform for the mattress can be seen with the mattress on and they are unfinished! :(
Not durable...cheap bed
This is a cheap bed. I bought it for my 3 years old boy and of course he is very light weighted...now after 9 months it broke in 3 different areas....the bed itself broke right in the middle and the headboard broke in 2 different areas....
Bed
The bed is overpriced for particle boards. It was difficult to put together because the pictures do not match. One picture shows the boards one way the next photo shows them opposite. There were some boards that the holes did not match up for the screws. I only bought this bed because it is the one my daughter picked out. I think that it is way over priced and not worth the $200.00 it cost.
Love it !
Love this bed! We purchased this for my 4yr old son to transition from his toddler bed. The slightly lower platform is perfect for that. It was easy to put together. Shipping was on time and quick. The color is great, true to picture. My son love his new "big boy" bed. Only negative is there is a gap between end of bed and mattress. I read this on a few other reviews too. To fix this I actually used the foam squat pieces that come in the box for package and put a pillow case in the color I wanted around them and put it at the top of the bed! It's perfecrt! No one can notice anything and it looks great ! The foam pieces are the perfect size and height! Overall very happy with the bed and would recommend. We ordered the whole set nightstand & cheat also, they're great too!
Nice Bed
It's a nice looking bed overall and quite sturdy. The particle board was quite smelly for a few days, so definitely need to air out the wood before sleeping in it. The frame of the bed is also a significant amount bigger then the actual matress so there's a gap in the frame. My daughter thinks its a step so it works for us but it's odd. Given the low price, we didn't have too high an expectation of quality. We did have two broken pieces when we received the bed and South Shore was fantastic to deal with. The parts were shipped to us free of charge!
Don't consider this bed.
