I bought two and kept them because I need larger pots. They plastic is thick and durable so it can hold a large plant. But I have to say, these are not actually self-watering. I don't know how the company can describe them that way. If they assert the product is self watering because there's a screen (which has holes) that fits between the bottom and the dirt, I'm not convinced. I have several of these pots and they're great for succulents and things that don't need a lot of water. But don't use them if you're counting on them for plants that need to be moist. They do dry out. If you plan on using them for that, you will need a good organic compost. Please don't use peat moss. It's bad for the environment.
