5-year pool cover failing at 2 years

I recommend against buying this product.

Pricey!!

Purchased in 2022 for $87 now in 2024 they want $178!!! It lasted two years. 15x30. RIDICULOUS I would purchase again if it would last me 2 years again. Not paying $178 when it only lasted 2 years.

Held up through the first summer without any rips. I added more straps to roll it up so that probably helped. Seems about average quality. It will probably last two summer seasons, maybe three. Hopefully it doesn’t deteriorate like my last one, over the winter while stored.

The cover is made from about 4 panels. One of them seems a bit thinner and is very sticky.

Turned out to be a good purchase

This pool cover is a very good value. It’s sizing is ample. We trimmed the cover to fit, but had to trim again later after it relaxed. The sturdy material is well made. The 12 mil cover feels to be a quality product. We have only had it on for about 4 weeks, so I am not sure of its longevity, but first impressions are quite good. I talked with another owner who also had a positive assessment.

Pool must for us!!

Pool opening next week.....but by looking and feel look as though it will work beautifully. There are different thickness to solar covers the longer the lifespan, like for 5yrs it is thicker and will withstand the chemicals and elements longer but NOT always the the full time according to the use. We never have had them last their lifespan due to.... on and off alot to hold the temperature, not as much of evaporation and keep debris from entering the pool, saving on vacuuming.
