Avoid this kit

This kit cost $500 more than the the kit WITHOUT the surrounding walls. After unboxing the walls I am at a loss for words at just how flimsy and poor quality these are. They are very thin. There is no nailing flange. They are too irregular to reinforce as I have done with other cheap acrylic walls. Other reviews are not exaggerated at all. This kit has been returned.

I bought what I thought was a complete kit from Lowes but discovered the shower wall panels were not included and Lowes did not sell them separately. So I ordered directly from Ove and they arrived in seven days. I was shocked at how torn up the boxes were when they arrived, but luckily the foam inside the boxes had protected them and they were undamaged. My new shower is installed in a very small cottage I have built. I am hopeful the kit will perform well over time!

Shower was installed 2 weeks ago. Contractor discovered that it leaked between the door and the base. Applied A LOT of silicone & hope it last. So far ; so good.

Installed rather quickly, screws to connect the frame were very tight to put in and had some heads break off. Very happy with the shower so far.

Filmsy Shower Walls not worth the time and $$!

For $1199.99 I expected a higher end product! The walls are extraordinarily flimsy, requires so much extra thought and effort to provide some extra support for these thin walls. There are 2 useless psuedo shelves that hold nothing and only take up space. The shower base and glass enclosure were decent though! Next Shower install will NOT be with an Ove shower kit.

Beautiful & stylish

I bought this Nov.'20 but due to bad, unscrupulous 'contractors', I didn't get it installed til recently. I worried that the base looked smaller than I expected, but when doors were up, it looked much better. The one thing I don't like is that bases are still allowed to be made without non-slip surfaces. They should be required of ALL manufacturers of showers & bases. I wish OVE would switch to those for the safety of their customers. Bath mats don't always perform they way they claim & cause a person to fall.

worst design of any fiberglass shower kit i have ever installed. The 2 sides do not lock together, you have to drill holes and bolt them together... then, the 2 side walls do not have any screw flanges, you have to let the doors fasten them to the wall, then rely on the drywall/ caulk joint to keep the walls rigid, which does not work well. The install required custom placed wood backing and lots of unnecessary drywall patching in order to get a good install. it took 2x longer than it should and cost the customer 2x more. I do not suggest this unit.

love the features

ordered this shower a couple months ago and finally got it installed without too much problem. the real problem was the instruction book. i looked at the video on utube and the book and video wasn't even close. if i wasn't a handyman with carpenter experience i would not have been able to install this shower. the product is great but the instruction book needs updated.

Check your actually base drain dimensions, the instructions are incorrect My base drain was not even symmetrical (approx. 6.5" x 7.5") from corner, not noticeable just looking at it. Luckily I had base before positioning drain in concrete floor. Assembling frame would be easier with two people, but I was able to do it on my own. Overall very pleased with quality of base, glass and hardware.

Great product. I have one in my own personal home very pleased with quality and ease of assembly. The only issue I have with this one putting into my son's home unit did have a little damage, due to the time frame how getting it installed we accepted the slight damage unnoticed to most people is the reason why we kept it. Overall quality of this product my son and I are very pleased. Would recommend this product to anyone, but just make sure you open box at store where you get it delivered to make sure there is no damage people handling it need to be more careful.

Nice Product but instructions need to be updated

Purchased the product which looks really nice now that it is installed! But getting it installed was quite challenging - even with two individuals. Part of the problem was the instructions were not very clear in some of the steps. And this caused us to lose a lot of time guessing what the instructions were attempting to convey. We even called customer service and they indicated they would email a link to updated online instructions. However we never received the email. :<( Would have given 5 Stars if the instructions were correct and up to date.

BEAUTIFUL SHOWER

I ORDERED FROM HOME DEPOT ONLINE. IT WAS READY FOR PICK UP SOONER THAN EXPECTED. THE VIDEO ON YOUTUBE HAS NO VOICE WHICH MAKES NO SENSE, HAVING TO REWIND OVER AND OVER, COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED.
