Love It
We love it. We've been using the main blender to make soups. It's easy to control and produces even smooth results. The mixer head design works great. It sucks itself down to the bottom of the pot and the soup moves through it. The plastic surface prevents it from scratching the porcelain coating on our expensive Dutch oven. The chopper attachment works good too. We have used it for fine chops on onions. While this not why we bought this model, it has proved to be a good bonus.
for a brand with a high name this is embarrassing
this looks like a cheap product, there are design faults for sure, the white attachments in the photo are all cheap plastic,
Love this blender!
I finally ordered an immersion blender and I’m so
W-S return policy is archaic
Problem with W-S return policy, not product. I wanted to keep this product but because I didn’t list it as a “gift” the return window would end before the holidays. So I was forced to return it. Then I asked if I could return it in the store and repurchase it but W-S system doesn’t allow for store returns of items purchased online even though Pottery Barn does and as virtually every other store does. So I was forced to return it and now I won’t buy it again. So congrats, W-S, u lost a sale.
Best Immersion Blender!
We own this immersion blender and I bought one for my niece. I thought she would like it to puree food for the baby. It's perfect. The immersion tool is great for pureeing soups. The blender is perfect and the right size for making hummus, salsas, and sauces.
Powerful but awkward
I had a Braun immersion blender for close to 20 years before it died and a I loved it. Based on reviews I replaced it with this. While this is powerful it is also awkward. I find it awkward to hold and beyond difficult to pull apart after using. It does its primary job well and it does come with attachments (which I've never used), but I find I'm annoyed with it every time I use it - mostly in comparison to how much easier to use its predecessor was in every way.
Disappointing poor quality chopping bowl
I noticed a crack across the bottom of my chopping bowl yesterday as I was using it for the third time since purchase. I believe it is a design fault as I noticed when reading reviews on the product website that this is a common product complaint going back a number of years. I purchased this control grip immersion blender as I presumed the quality would be excellent, however I am disappointed that this issue has not been rectified. Overall the wand works very well.
Quality product but find on display before purchase - strong hands needed to release attachments.
I'm a big fan of Breville appliances but I have one problem with this one. You need a lot of strength to squeeze the side buttons to release attachments - hence I took one star off. I'd normally do the usual due diligence and take the product for a test drive, however my local store didn't have it in stock and I had to order on-line.
Worth every penny!
I love this immersion blender!
Breville does it again!
I already had an immersion blender. I saw the Breville and was completely taken in by it. No more scratched pots because it has a protected bottom edge. It also has several other pieces for doing many more things than just going into a pot. It is much quieter than my other unit, also! I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
Handy
I’d stopped making smoothies into which I added all my supplements. Using my Vitamix became burdensome and the time-consuming, so I pretty much stopped using it and with that my vitamin other supplement intake. This makes it all much easier. I am back on my regimen and feel MUCH better. This tool makes trying to stay heathy MUCH easier. Thank you
like the food processor
I bought this about 2 years ago for the immersion blender. I've wound up using the mini food processor a lot more than the blender and have generally been quite happy with it. Yesterday when washing the top of the food processor, I noticed a lot of water inside the plastic housing. The water shakes out slowly and smells really bad. I can't figure out how to get all the water out. I always hand wash this part. The replacement part is not in stock. I wish this part was designed better to avoid trapping water.
Breaks just outside of warranty
It works- but only for just over the warranty period. Had to buy another one from breville directly (who offered a decent discount) but still disappointed it suddenly stopped working in the first place. Really shouldn’t have to resort to spending more money and we don’t even use it that much at all. Not sure if it’s a breville problem and other brands have the same issue or if they do it conveniently to make you spend more money. I’ll never know
the only immersion blender that delivers across the board
Honestly, Breville NEVER disappoints !!! It's worth the extra investment to get the best. It checks all the boxes. I cook almost everything from scratch. so that's a lot of sous chef work. Cutting, chopping, mincing, blending.... I love this immersion blender. The design is so comfortable to use and I know Breville will stand behind the quality of this product. Also, love the stacking containers - the best for smaller kitchens like mine.
I want to like this
The stick blender works fine. I purchased because I fell in love with the ergonomic grip.
Wrong order: I wanted to order the Control Grip only . When it arrived the gadgets were included .
The parcel arrived promptly. All was packed very well. I wanted to have my old one repaired but it was out of warranty. Breville does not repair . It only needs a new plastic connector underneath. Why Cannt I buy the Motor grip separately or repair my old one?
Forget the rest. Get this one
So much better than the one that died.
Too large
It’s only good for very large batches. It doesn’t work for normal quantities. Seems nice but I can’t use it. Amazon wouldn’t take a refund since it was past 30 days and Breville wouldn’t give a refund since I got it from Amazon.
Amazing
This is a replacement Immersion blender because I threw the last one away. The old blender would spill over and get the contents over everything. I hesitated to get a new one but thought it was worth a try. Imagine my surprise when I was able to blend a soup I made without a mess every where else. It is easy to use, infinitely quieter and blended my soup to perfection.
A pain to use. Time waster; I’ll be dead…
1. VERY heavy I think I read it’s 2 pounds. Think how heavy half a 5 pound bag of potatoes is.
