Doesn’t do the job I was expecting
Easy to install without crawling into the attic. Some modification needed to stabilize the fan box in the ceiling, as mounting tabs not used with room-access installation. Very quiet with a low profile.
Horrible quality
The first unit I purchased would randomly turn off. I figured it was just a one off and purchases a second unit. This second unit rattles due to the blower vent wheel having gone out-of-balance. The blower vent wheel is so soft that I can bend it with my hands. While the unit has been installed for about two years with use for maybe 45 minutes per day, my cheap Home Depot unit lasted at least five years and was used way more. The only good use for this unit is tossing it out.
Louder than my 20 year old fan
I bought this as an upgrade for my laundry room turned 3D printer room. The fan is this room runs 24x7 to exhaust printing fumes. This is Louder than my old fan. I'll see how long I can stand it, it way end up going back next weekend. Buyer beware, this fan is an absolute beast to have to retrofit. did not come with the wire connector or wire nuts. For the cost of the fan, you would think it would come with these two items.
I installed the Broan-Nutone 110 CFM vent in my garage ceiling with a smart switch controller to vent the summer and car engine heat. It works well and is almost complete silent.
Fan is very quiet, moves air well and looks good at a reasonable cost. Installation was not difficult, as it took me longer to remove the previous decades-old fan which required a trip into the attic. Installation of the cover was frustrating to get the flimsy metal spring into the plastic slots properly. My house was built in 1950 thus the walls are not square to the joists. I mounted the fan housing to the joist but it is noticeable that the grill cover mounted to the fan is not perfectly parallel to my crown molding. If the grill cover could be adjusted rotationally a few degrees, it would look perfect. The grill cover design is the only aspect of this product that should be improved.
the unit is not silent as expected and also does not extract the warm air from the bathroon as expected
this product was easy to install
I’m a small contractor. I have purchased several of these over the years. Great product….. quiet and very low profile!
Needing a replacement exhaust fan for our bath, this exhaust fan was perfect in our situation. The provided template made it quite easy to cut the new installation hole. Mounting it was easy and the best part is it's super quiet. If we have to replace the other exhaust fan I plan to upgrade it with this fan. Shipping was spot on and delivered as expected. Great product and service!
Very LOUD
This replaced a 5 year old Hampton bay model 110cfm fan. This broan 110cfm is at least three times as loud, not even close to quiet. I am returning to the store.
Does not work!
I bought this for a very small home bathroom (well under 100 cu ft). There previously was no fan, and I wanted to stop the drips on the ceiling and walls, so I bought a model that was meant for even larger bathrooms. After professional install this looks good, and is quiet, but is not drawing any of the steam out of the bathroom! I have to constantly wipe down the ceiling to prevent mold, and the walls look terrible. Do not purchase this waste!!!
good design, easy to install, very effective. Wish it was a little quieter.
Very good ventilation for a small bath - little accumulation of steam. Reasonably quiet for the volume of air turned over. Fairly easy to install, although our ceiling was damaged so had to take out drywall and ended up being able to mount front the attic.
Works great and is easy to install .
Bathroom mirrors barely fog up
I read many reviews The prior fan installed was much smaller with a 3in exhaust opening and hose. Used a reducer from 4 to 3 inch opening to reuse hose. Well that didn't work completely, the unit was noisy, called support. they asked me if I replaced the hose to 4 inch opening and gave it the 2 feet straight line before doing a 90deg bend up. Also if door has 1in gap. I returned to HD to get a 4in vent hose, replaced it, Suddenly it was so much quieter, mirrors barely fog. Happy with my buy.
Not enough mounting screws
I spent a good amount of time after installation trying to figure out where the blow-back of air was coming from. Turns out, the housing on top of the fan was not completely installed. They supplied me with just enough screws to install. Which includes one fine-thread 1/4 screw that is supposed to hold that whole thing in place in the ceiling. I had to drill a pilot hole for the tiny screw and use an actual wood screw to ensure this would stay up there.
Noisier than I had expected.
Did stop the mirrors from fogging
Install wasn't too bad, if replacing an old one, just buy the 3in to 4in adapter and the exhaust fan silver tape which is going to hold it in place.
The Broan-NuTone exhaust fan I purchased is excellent. It is quiet, efficient and attractive. It was a great purchase.
