10 out of 10. I have used the original squirrel buster for several years because they are squirrel proof as long as they are hung correctly. They must not be within reach of a squirrel from n a nearby branch as it will be able to keep its hold and still reach the feeder without putting any weight into it. This is easy to avoid. Their squirrel buster plus is a notch above the original. It allows six birds to feed once they have agreed on the pecking order plus the feeding holes are all at the base. This means six can eat everything till the feeder is empty. It also allows the feed to stay drier. Distancing of the feeder still applies so that it is squirrel proof. My squirrels don't even look at it as they know they are beaten before they start so I feed them separately as I like them.

Best bird feeder ever!

This is our second squirrel buster feeder. The original feeder stood up to daily squirrel attacks for many years. The birds especially like the perch ring on the feeder. This is the best feeder on the market!

Wonderful design that is made to last

Made of heavy duty materials in a way the requires no tools to open, close and fill. Holds a lot of seed, and deters squirrels by closing the portals when jumped on. Seed lasts a long time without the squirrels eating freely.

This bird feeder is highly effective at keeping squirrels away. I have also made adjustments to prevent Common Grackles from accessing it. If two or more of them land on it, the feeder automatically closes.

Bye Bye Squirrels

Prior to purchasing this feeder, I was constantly chasing away squirrels who demonstrated very creative acrobatic skills. My bird feeder areas were like Cirque de Soliel, only with squirrels instead of people. I even had a designated Squirrel Broom, that I would wave at them as needed. Enough was enough. Life was becoming a squirrel patrol. This feeder has changed everything. Squirrels have made unsuccessful attempts and gone away defeated. The first squirrel to come after the feeder was hung just flopped down on his little tummy and stared at the feeder for a long time as if he was trying to figure it out, then he walked slowly away. To say I am thrilled with this feeder is an understatement.

Birds love it.

So far there is nothing to dislike. The feeder is made of good quality materials. It's easy to fill and the birds love it. The squirrels have tried to get the food.....no luck. It's more costly than other feeders, but the quality is worth the price.

This feeder is built like a tank and keeps squirrels out for good! Has an adjustable spring that can be used to keep out larger birds if desired. Great price and fast shipping from birds choice!

very good bird feeder squirrel and large bird proof

Very good bird feeder both squirrel and large bird proof. We have 3 of these feeders. One at are main house the second at our cottage and the third we gave to my 90 year old parents who get al lot of pleasure looking at the small birds without the squirrls keeping them away. The feeder is well constructed and our first has lasted for several years.

Best feeder on the market!

This is by far the best birdfeeder have ever had. I have had one for several years and was so impressed with it I splurged and bought a second one. It is absolutely squirrel proof and the large tube holds plenty of seeds making it great for fewer trips out in the cold for refills.

Awesome bird feeder, truely squirrel proof

This is a great bird feeder by a great company. I never thought id buy a feeder this expensive, but any damages ive had, brome has been great at sending me replacement parts super fast and for free. When mounted as per their guidelines, it is squirrel proof, the squirrels will still try, especially the young ones who haven't had a chance to fail yet, but they won't be able to get any seed. This is a very high quality feeder.

SUPERB squirrel buster!

Bought for my parents as a gift after owning one myself for years. Great bird feeder, really high quality. Mine has been outside for 3 years all-seasons and still works perfectly. Easy to fill and holds a lot of seed, always covered in robins, but only have to fill it every ~2 weeks. Keeps away squirrels, but also works for the large black birds (grackles?) that used to eat all our seed. Worth it.

This works and looks great!

I’m so happy with this feeder. I had purchased an almost identical and more expensive one from a well known bird store and the dang thing kept falling apart every time my husband took it down to fill it. I loved the anti-squirrel device and overall design and bought this SquirrelBuster brand from JC’s Wildlife. This one beats the heck out of the expensive one. It looks nicer with the green color, but more importantly it keeps the squirrels at bay, holds lots of seed and does not fall apart because the seed tube is secure. Unless it’s super foggy or the rain is coming in at an angle, the ports stay pretty dry too with the small overhang. Easy to assemble, clean and reasonably priced. Can’t beat that. Thanks JC’s!

Great Bird Feeder

This is by far the best Bird Feeder on the market, yes it pricy but it will be the last one you buy unless a Deer, Racoon or Possum get to it. it is truly squirrel proof as far as them getting to the seed some how squirrels always find away to get on it but it closes off access to the seed so they will try crewing on the holes but still can not get to the seed. I don't use the Robin ring it just give a squirrel something to hang on to. Keep in mind it come with a lifetime warranty so they will replace parts that are damaged by squirrels. Keep it 18-20 inches away form anything a squirrel can hang on to that will help keep them off.

The birds like it. Overall a very good feeder.

I specifically got this model because it had the "cardinal ring". We have a small squirrel buster that gets emptied the quickest of all our feeders. And the squirrels no longer even try to get seed from these feeders. I only gave this model 4 stars because we get lots of cardinals at our feeders, but I have never seen a cardinal on this feeder. So that has been disappointing. I love the quality of these feeders and they seem to be favored over our other feeders.

Great feeder for those with determined squirrels

I had another Brome in a different style, so I knew it would be only a matter of time before I added this model. I like the ring that the cardinals and other birds find comfortable. If my hands were stronger, I would have had an easier time installing the ring, but it did work for me with a bit more time. Be aware that the birds will take their time to get used to a new feeder, so just be patient. After two weeks of caution, I’m seeing lots of birds of many kinds deciding that they like it. And the best part is that the squirrels have to be content with their food on the ground because they can’t figure out how to access the seeds inside. It’s a sturdy and practical feeder that I plan to use for many years.

Definitely squirrel proof

Altho very pricey this truly is squirrel proof depending on the sensitivity setting. SAVE INSTRUCTIONS for how to adjust sensitivity by turning interior tubing. Squirrels try but cannot get food when it closes, nor have they chewed through the clear cylinder as they have on other squirrel proof feeders. Cardinal ring is essential for cardinals to use this feeder. I can also attest that they are not bear proof.

TOTALLY squirrel-proof with a long rod and the baffle!!

Amazingly well-made, clear instructions, and actually works VERY well! This feeder was pricey but is worth it as other reviews we'd read stated. The battle with the squirrels is now over! We needed a longer rod w/a hook mounted from our deck to accommodate the larger size feeder and did get the baffle that can go on this feeder-- but love how much seed this holds, the many great features, and that the squirrels will get frustrated and leave us alone -- or they try for a bit and fail. We have not had one squirrel outsmart this amazing feeder. We also have attracted the most awesomely beautiful birds that we'd never seen before, especially thanks to the cardinal ring. What a difference a product like this can make! We've recommended this already to many people we know and are so glad we found this one. VERY happy with this amazing device! Amazingly well-made, clear instructions, and actually works VERY well!

Goodbye Squirrels!

I'm impressed with the quality and functionality of this feeder. Finally, a bird feeder that lives up to its billing. NO SQUIRRELS! My cardinals love it and I have it set on the mid-weight spring setting, which still allows multiple small birdies to feed at the same time without activating the seed closure. The occasional starling can also feed without springing the closure, but very few starlings have bothered with it, thus far, so I will not lighten the closure setting at this time. It is a bit pricey, but worth every penny. It is the best bird feeder that I've ever hung. GOOD JOB BROME!!!!
