Very little confidence in this company
Having all kinds of problems. Plumber could not get it to work, called the company and was told that it is “probably a sensor”, But they would not be responsible for the cost of having the plumber come back.
The installation instructions, particularly reagrding linking it one's home network are incomplete and confusing. Once the faucet stops broadcasting it is difficult to cause it to do so again. The app is terrible; it requires one to go through every single installation step, e.g., it doesn't remember serial numbers that have been previously entered. I regret purchasing the two that I did and will advise anyone who will listen not to do so!
Perfect choice
Great product, the design and quality of this faucet is so pleasing. They come in several finishes to suit one’s desired look. We’re very satisfied with the quality of features that make using the faucet for various tasks, very smooth.
Takes some getting used to- but we like it.
My plumber recommended this model. I was a little hesitant to get it but I do like it. My favorite feature is the pull down sprayer. I didn’t think I’d use it often but I find that it is very handy for rinsing dishes and cleaning out the sink. I also like the stainless steel finish that doesn’t show water spots or finger prints. It has taken a while to get used to the new faucet. I accidentally wet my sleeves a number of times but I’ve adjusted to the change now. I hope this new Moen faucet lasts as long as the 20 year old Moen it replaced.

I almost love this faucet but it has 2 major drawbacks that make me regret spending this much money on it and not 100% love it. Pros: It is beautiful and the motion sensor works great. Cons: 1. It works 100% on batteries, not just the motion sensor part. So, if your batteries go dead you don't have a kitchen faucet at all. Not even the manual handle will work. Because of this it runs through batteries very quickly which are expensive. We have only had it 2 months and already replaced the batteries twice. We are planning on getting the converter so it can be plugged in but that will require an electrician to install an outlet under the sink and if the power goes out it won't work either. We had a motion sensor Kohler in a previous house and loved it. Only the sensor part used batteries and they only had to be replaced once or twice a year and it didn't effect how the manual part of the faucet work. 2. There is no way to control the water pressure. It is basically full on or full off. The water pressure if very high and tends to splash you when you are trying to wash things. Even with the manual handle you can't make it drip or have a small flow. This is very frustrating at times and wastes a ton of water.

The only issue that I have with this faucet is that even when the last use was in the "spray" setting, it returns automatically to full stream when you use it the next time. As I almost always use spray, I wonder why the faucet wasn't designed to hold the previous setting (spray, in my case) for the subsequent uses, until changed by the users. Added on 7/20/21: Removed another star because of the spray pattern. When set on spray, there is a strong spray but only on the periphery of a circle - it took me a while to realize that the reason the spray did not work well is because all the inside of a the fairly large spray circle gets no water. If you are a spray enthusiast, this is not the faucet for you. Added on 9/1/21: It is not often that the more I use something, the less I like it. But this faucet, unfortunately, fits the bill. I now understand that the reason I have to move the spray around so much and for so long is not only that the inside of the spray circle gets no water, but also that the spray circle is formed by a single circle of holes in the nozzle; those holes are spaced and directed so that the spray circle is quite large and there is too large a distance between where neighboring water jets from each hole hit. I recently saw a Delta faucet with practically the same look but without any of the drawbacks listed in my review(s). Down to 2 stars for this one.

Believe it or not, when the batteries run out, it's not just the sensor that stops workingthe faucet becomes completely inoperable. As in, you can't just use it as a normal faucet. Seems ridiculous. And I only got maybe 6 hours of the yellow "low battery" light to warn me. I enjoy the thrill of waking up not knowing whether my faucet will run out of juice each day. Do I have enough giant D batteries to last me through the winter??? Also, it's hard to get a nice lukewarm temperature when using the regular handle. It likes to be either hot or cold. Similarly, if you want a weak stream for, say, watering a plant, don't even think about it. It's either off or ~75% power and above with this guy. Last thing. The app lets you name the device, so I was excited to name my faucet. I named it Bill. But that apparently just named the device within the app (which ?? does nothing) and you STILL have to say "Moen, dispense one cup of water at 110 degrees" or whatever, making you feel like an automaton and reminding you just how robotic your lil' post-industrial peasant work-from-home life has become. So I don't use the Alexa capabilities because Moen apparently wants to build brand loyalty by forcing us into saying the word "Moen" every time we want to use it, and this is my little act of rebellion against the man.

First of all, I love this kitchen faucet. Moen did such a good job designing and executing this product. I highly recommend for anyone looking at similar products to purchase this one. Some points to address about why I love: - Motion Feature (waving hand over motion sensor on top) : the waving feature works soooo well! If you don't believe in smart home stuff, at least get this faucet or the version without Alexa/google because it is so convenient to wave over the faucet for the water. It makes cooking and cleaning slightly more bearable. Imagine rinsing your chicken before cooking it, now you can turn the water on and off without touching/contaminating anything. I love the feature so much and it feels so right that I am now waving over all the faucets I come to on accident. - Voice activated : I can understand how many people find this unnecessary, but I really enjoy being able to tell my faucet how much water to dispense or to warm up water. I tested how accurate it was, and it is really good! I use the feature for baking or filling a pot with a certain amount of water per the instructions. One critique is that sometimes Alexa gets in a mood where she wants to open the function instead of just doing what we asked her to. - Install : I don't have a lot of experience with plumbing (none). It took me 3x longer to remove the existing faucet than it took me to install. I got to the end of the instructions and kept thinking, "this can't be it, it was too easy!" My install time included setting up the app, connecting to the wifi, etc. Not only are the directions simple, but they have streamlined the install by having your water lines click in using a feature similar to what you would find on a hiking water bladder hose. - Misc. : -It has 3 buttons on the pull down hose nozzle. They are normal water stream, sprayer, and a button separate for stronger water. -Auto off feature is interesting. The faucet will automatically turn off after a certain length of time. This can be annoying, but I also like the security of knowing that if I walk away while the water is running, it will turn off on its own. With the wave feature, it is so easy to turn back on that it has not been an issue. -sprayer feature is not the best. The normal water stream is great, but the other option to create a higher pressure "shower"/sprayer leaves everything around it covered in mist. It really isn't useful without getting water everywhere. -pull down nozzle feature is very helpful when cleaning the sink. If you have it pulled down and turn off the sink it goes back up into the normal position. -light where the motion sensor is shows if the water is hot (fully red) or cold (fully blue). The temp I keep it at, you normally kind of see both. This is nice because whatever the lever was set on determines the water temp when you are using the motion sensor. Overall, it is a great product that I have used for a few months and really love.

I did the install myself and it was a lot easier to install this faucet than it was to remove my old one. Everything needed for the install was included if I had normal plumbing... My kitchen sink had shutoff valves with the lines attached so I could not connect the lines from the Moen control box as they were both female connectors. My kitchen plumbing uses the push to connect adapters so I replaced them with standard valves that have a male connector. The motion detection/hand wave feature is probably my favorite thing about this faucet. I did install the smart app and connect it with my google home and Alexa speakers. Using voice assistance is a cool function but not something I would use regularly. I tested the measured dispense command and used a measuring cup to confirm it is accurate. The app allows you to create presets and view your water usage by day, week, month, year. My only wish is that it would integrate with my SmartThings hub. At the time of this review I was unable to find any integrations for SmartThings but hope something becomes available in the future. Overall the faucet looks awesome and works great, the smart functions are a bonus to show visitors! Moen 7864EVC Sleek U

Update note: Exactly one month on 6 D batteries. I get it, but I can't say I'm thrilled when the sink is unusable until you find 6 more. Moen really made something nice here. We were really let down by a similar product from American Standard so it was nice to see just haw well this worked. Installation is even easier than a normal faucet because there is only one hose going to the faucet itself. This is possible as the unit is entirely electrically controlled; you feed the output hose down the neck to the control box and that is where the supply lines connect. Your handle is really an electrical component here and while the movement is natural I think they could improve here by reducing the 1/4 second lag between moving it and the water coming out. Also you don't really get full control over the flow and instead get a number of incremental flows. Do either of these things really matter? No. I'm already getting used to them but I mention it because I noticed them. This system of course needs to be powered and they include the 6 honkin' D batteries but not a 9V power supply. I have an outlet for my sink disposal unit so it would be nice to not have to source that myself. What this electronic system enables though is great. Wherever the handle is when you use the motion control determines the flow/temp and the motion works flawlessly right at the distance you'd expect. The Alexa skill is something I never even thought of and has some pretty neat functionality. Asking for the water to be preheated or dispensing a specified amount are handy. I don't know that I'll ever use the hand-wash routine as it's a little thorough but it's fun to have Alexa walk you through steps. The skill could use a little work as you had to be a bit too exact in word choice for it to work. Then when it didn't there's some sort of bug where it attempts to apologize but instead you get the name of the apology in the code. Made me chuckle. Build-wise it's nice look and feel almost all around. Sturdy metal for the neck and even the base plate. The head is plastic though and while I was a little disappointed I could see a heavy head being trouble for the retraction system. Speaking of that, don't fall for the marketing here: "Reflex Technology" is nothing more than the standard weight-on-the-output-line. The head controls are simple and work great but the best I can figure out on the power boost is they for some reason restrict the flow normally and when you push the button they... don't restrict it. Either way you get plenty of flow if a touch thinner stream than what I'm used to. I've brought up a number of minuses but I really do think they are outweighed by the pluses. I like the faucet and it does the job of dispensing water with a few fun options. I've already got my hand washing preset with a specific temperature under my name and my wife said she loves it. Can you really argue with that WAF(wife acceptance factor)?
