If you want loopy stitches this machine's for you

Bought about 1 month ago at Joann Fabrics. My Dad was a professional tailor and I was used to his industrial machines so I didn't purchase this thinking it was a professional model. However for the price I would have liked to get something that didn't hop around on the sewing table, or purchase a machine that right out of the box skipped stitches from the bobbin side, or have a reverse button that doesn't always stop reversing. It is now past being able to return it to Hobby Lobby. So I am out $229.00 on a machine I was hoping to be able to use to make a little money on the side to supplement my income.

Too light

It is real nice. Only complaint I have is it’s too light. If I lean on it just a bit it tips. If I had known they still made metal machines I would have bought one. The all plastic are just way too light. Picking it up is great but the metal heavier ones are better.

Love it. Brother quality at its best. Love the stitch option, easy bobbin and all the included accessories, including a surprise extended work space. Some reviews complained about not being able to wind the bobbin. Instructions are not completely clear, but just need to pull end through small hole on top of bobbin and hold to start winding (see pic). Will not work any other way.

Problem

I love my machine but I’m having a problem with the safety issue. If I sew for awhile it pops up and shuts down. I rethread change needle and clean. I have taken it in to LindaZ’s and spent $250 to have it fixed I’ve had it back 6 weeks and it has stared doing it again. I am really disappointed that a machine I spent over $1000 for can already have these problems

Nice lightweight machine!

Great machine! I was looking for a lighter machine that was portable and yet would handle the quilting. Its perfect! I like it so much that I pulled it out at home to complete a whole quilt from piecing to binding!

Exactly what I wanted!!

I started out with a beginner Brogher sewing machine. I loved it. It was time to upgrade. I knew I wanted a Brigher that did quilting and this does so much more! Highly recommend this machine! Price was same as Joann’s sale price along eith Amazon. I got it the next day free shipping! Can’t beat that! Walmart was best deal! I would definitely buy again!

Nightmare machine. Only regrets.

This machine skips stitches. It eats fabric. It stitches over the same spot again and again and fails to push the fabric forward even with gentle encouragement or strong encouragement.

[Rewarded Review] Great machine

Purchased this to replace a 20 year old Singer. Right out of the box, this was very easy to use. I've been sewing for over 40 years, and this is my 3rd machine ever, my first Brother. I've had it just over a week and am loving the ease of use and the features.

[Rewarded Review] Do not buy

I bought the machine and brought it home. I didn’t even get to use it; as soon as I turned it on, the error codes kept flashing.

[Rewarded Review] Disappointed with problems on CP100X

The first day, this machine worked fine. I completed a quilt top without issue. Beautiful perfect stitches. 2 days later, the needle threader does not work and the stitches have loops on the bottom. I have made every adjustment possible and stitch problem persists. I have also been trying to register this machine since arrival. Never went through on two attempts. Called Brother and was told it would take 2-3 days to get verification code to complete registration. This has been going on for 10 days and I have yet to receive any verification code.

Great machine

I have only one complaint about my new sewing machine. I have arthritis in my hands and it is very difficult to thread machine especially the #6 before you thread the needle and it is difficult to get the Bobbin in and out. The needle threader is a life saver. Otherwise I love my new machine. I would recommend this machine to anyone looking for a great sewing machine. My last sewing machine was a Brother CS6000. I retired it after 10 years but I am keeping it as a back up. Thank you for making great sewing machines.

[Rewarded Review] Love it so far!

So far it has done perfectly for me since my older Brother machine of about a decade went out and I couldn't be happier! It stitches so quiet and is pretty easy to pick up. The only thing that does bug me is the speed selections, I sew fast and the fastest setting is a bit slow, but it'll do just fine no matter what!
