Very good modern addition

These have been around our new double front doors and give an awesome, modern touch. Since there are two different bulbs in each, the smart bulbs that I put in look really cool alternating different colors during the holidays.

Not quite right.

Not sure what made me think these lights were much smaller than they are, but was looking for a more compact light. The mounting part also seems relatively cheap, otherwise they are fine. I was trying to find a middle of the road cylinder light as the seem to be all $30 or $200 per, these were in that middle arena.

Outstanding lighting design

Absolutely beautiful product, great quality! These lights make a lovely light display on our Florida home, exactly what I was hoping they would look like in design. Can not say enough good things about them, very pleased. I would definitely recommend this product.

Perfect lights for a modern sanctuary

Great fixtures! We ordered a number of these lights for the exterior of retreat buildings in a country setting. They are elegant, very high quality, and provide just the right kind of light in the serene country setting. We use both up and down lights in some locations, and just the down feature in others.

I had to spend some time emailing and then calling to understand what to do with the top lens cover as it is installed outside.

Great light. Bold, makes a statement!

Great light. Very well made, sturdy. Love the finish and look in the hallway. A little big likely for where I put it, but this has nothing to do with the light. It is beautiful. The mounting plate was troublesome and required me bending it in order to work, but rest of it was simple to install. Love everything Kichler, and this is no exception.

Shoots light both up and down

I love how this wall lantern shoots light both up and down. I really like the dimming feature. It's perfect for the front of my house. It looks so nice on my porch. It has the perfect amount of brightness.

Modern Light Solution

I have put this on the entryway for my home. It is an incredibly modern look and very contemporary. But I love how strong it is built, and really enjoyed the ease of installation. At first I thought it would be a little bit difficult to install, as the instructions were somewhat lacking; but ultimately I figured it out. I really like the dual bulb feature, it really lights up my side entry very nice. I suggest anybody who is looking to add some style and durability to their lighting needs should look into purchasing this.

This light looks very sleek and modern. It was easy to install yourself if you have basic electrical experience. Just attach like wores to like wires and ground. It looks very nice hanging. We have it in a long hallway to accent a.painting at the end. I recommend this.

Slightly Flawed Design & Install

The light itself is good and has a good cavity to bunch the wires when mounting to the bracket. Unfortunately, the notch in the mounting plate is not deep enough. I had to loosen the mounting plate so the screw could get behind the notch to secure it. It is counterintuitive to not have the mounting bracket secured to the surface. Ultimately, I had to fully engage the top screw and slide it over the bracket, behind the notch, and then secure the bottom screw in the bottom notch. Other than this issue, it is fine and arrived in good condition.

Needed to match existing

Great company to do business with. I had to find lights that matched the ones on a home that was built nearly years ago. We were building an addition that was to match the existing home as closely as possible. The homeowners are still raving about how these matched the existing lights perfectly. They are very high quality lights and worked perfectly on the addition.

Sleek and Modern

The Kichler Cylinder Wall Light was simple to install and only took a matter of minutes. I love the sleek and modern design and how just a light fixture can completely change the look of a space. We updated an old light on the staircase and this was just the right one. There are 2 bulbs to install, one has light going up and one has light going down. I just can't get over the difference this light has made!

Modern and elegant design; easy to install

I used this wall sconce to replace another internal fixture. Therefore, it was simply a matter of undoing a couple screws and a couple of wire nuts, and a half hour later I was enjoying my new Kichler wall sconce. The instructions couldn t be more simple, and really aren t even necessary even if you ve never replaced an electrical fixture before. It probably would have taken me closer to 15 minutes if I didn t have a minor issue getting the fixture mounted on the wall plate. Essentially, if the wall plate is too flush to the wall, the screws of the fixture will not catch the lip of the wall plate. I remedied this by using a couple of spacers (not included) to bring the wall plate further away from the wall so the screws from the fixture could catch. It was a minor hiccup, but it did not affect the functioning or elegant look. I am also very pleased with the light distribution coming from the fixture. Even though it has direct up and down lighting, the light rays reflect around well to provide lighting to the front of the fixture as well.

Love this light fixture. It adds so much class to my house. It’s very elegant. I’ve received multiple compliments since installing it. I will definitely recommend to friends. It’s high quality and made very well. It’ll last me for years to come.

They are nice lights but they say they are for outdoor use and yet they do NOT include the plastic lens that covers the top to be able to use the light facing up. The instructions state that the lens MUST BE USED for all outdoor locations (sold separately). I cannot find an option anywhere to get this lens. If anyone can help that would be great. Otherwise 4 stars.

We ordered 5 Kichler wall sconce for our new screened porch. Four of the fixtures are working perfectly while in the 5th, the light bulb kept bursting (base still in the socket, but glass covering the floor). We thought it might be the light bulbs but the other 4 fixtures work fine with the same bulbs. I suppose a defective item passes through occasionally, so if it continues, we will work a replacement fixture. Other than that, we love the look of the fixture. The comment from the electrician: the fixture would be better if it has glass protecting the top bulb from any rain that might find its way into the porch. We've had the fixtures installed for only 2 weeks, so I cannot comment yet on the life of the fixture. The fixtures on Overstock were priced 30-40% lower than other sites that also sold this model.

Stylish Addition For Our Media Room

Easy installation took about 20 minutes, included with nuts which most fixtures do not, sleek and stylish design, high quality, and I love the brushed finish. We did need to bend the mounting plate a little, but that was the only issue. We put it in the hallway to out media room and it looks great! It was just what that space needed. A dimmable version with higher wattage would be a future improvement.
