Grab Bar is great, looks nice and Flexible Mount

The Grab Bar is great and mounting is flexible but grab new screws before you leave the store. It comes with Philips head screws which will round off before you get them halfway screwed in. Pick up some Robinson Pan head 2.5" x #10 Wood Screws to save you frustration later. I got it on sale so that helped also.

I think you sold a defective product!!! Bar itself defective with cross threaded screw angled and stuck in position….. it would not budge despite repeated attempts, Wd-40 etc. The wall bracket was fine. Very frustrating as this increased timeframe to install.

This grab bar is very strong and looks good too. Installation was straight forward with detailed instructions. Included are long screws that take some muscle to screw into wood studs. Highly recommend!

I had an accident and now have to use a wheelchair to get around. Getting off the toilet was a huge challenge. My son suggested getting a grab bar, and I did. He installed it for me. It's a life saver! It works and looks great!

Right out of the carton two weeks ago the quality was evident. Each connection point screams industrial grade. This device will give me peace of mind that my loved one will not have to deal with structural failure while getting on with daily living. The hoizonal start point transitioning to 45 degrees means not having to add a second bar in an already tight mount point area.

Disappointed in the product

Looks modern. However the flange that covers the screws do not tightly fit. Hence the flange rotates loosely. I called Moen and the service representative advised the installer may have reversed the clip. Installer advised correctly installed. I had bought 3 of these safety bars and there was no alternative but to leave them installed. The solution: installer caulked around the flange so it does not move loosely. At this point, I don't know whether the product is flawed in its design or its my installer

These are really nice looking grab bars, as opposed to the usual plain ones. They look more like a design feature, rather than an "assistance" one. The rubber on the inside of the bars makes me feel safer also. Just be aware that they are a little more difficult to install than the plain ones and you may need a handyperson who is familiar with the mounting brackets.

Sturdy, versatile grab bar.

Very easy to install once you know where the studs are. Clever wall disc design makes it easy to get three screws into the stud. Suggested tools: stud finder, yardstick, soft pencil, good eraser, drill, phillips screwdriver. You may also want a level if you are concerned with perfection. One person could install it alone, but two makes it a bit easier. Feels very sturdy and secure. More versatile than a flat grab bar since the upward angle lets you pull if needed.

The grab bar is very useful. However, the finish is not the same as my other chrome fixtures. It looks closer to a polished nickel. The product information does state that it’s chrome, though. I thought that chrome was the same throughout all manufacturers, unlike nickel, bronze, gold, etc., making it a safe pick. I’m not sure what to make of this, but I can live with it.

These are very substantial grab bars. They have finger grips on the back side, but must be intended for large hands. My fingers will only touch one. They were advertised as brushed nickel and the box indicated this as well but the finish looks to be more brushed chrome or stainless steel. I had them installed by a professional so I don’t have any information on that except it didn’t take long for the install. They will do the job they were intended for.

Beautiful multiple functional

I re-did the tile in on my tub/shower combo and I have to have grab bars to get in and out of tub which I already had and they were the moen basic grab rails BUT now with the new tile job I needed a new towel rack for the back of tub that would be secure, not the ugly ones that are put in when tile is done and only good for towels..I looked at moen to find a towel rack but same thing if you loose balance not safe to grab hold of..so I though let’s see what moen has in grab bars today and there was this beauty to finish off my new tile job and if I need too or accidentally grab it is secured into the wall!! Plus will take all the moisture from baths and anyone using this tub/shower as a shower! Also they have added nice grips to the back side that you can not see for further safety so if it is wet hand will not slip!! I never used the other towel rack for towels and this grab bar also for me towel bar will still never have a towel hang from it. It’s too pretty and towels will cover my beautiful new tile but I have to extra safety and the tub/shower looks complete!

Moen Home Care 16" grab bar works well

I installed a bronze 16" Moen Home Care grab-bar for a neighbor. I got all 3 screws (included) installed in studs on both sides so it is very sturdy. This has the Moen mounting system that is better than most since you can space the screws as-needed to ensure you get them all in studs for a secure installation. Very happy with how it turned out and looks great. The cushioned grip on the back side is nice and I like the screws being covered too. This one was installed beside her toilet. She is sending me back to Lowes to get 2 more to install in her bath/shower. She is pleased and I am also.

Purchased to match an existing handle. First picture displayed when reviewing this product on Home Essentials Direct shows inside of bar with indentation for your fingers. Product seemed an exact match. Noticed when I received that inside of handle was smooth. Verified part number and it appears additional photos on Home Essentials Direct display a smooth surface. Not a big enough issue to return but photos depicting this product are misleading. Also, the description says the flow of this product is 2.5 gallons per minute. Not sure where that came from but humorous all the same.

Follow the directions - the Allen screws are SMALL

Drilling through ceramic tile was the one part that made me a bit hesitant to start. I bought 2 bits, one made by Milwaukee that was around $12 and a second one made by Bosch that I believe was around $5. The Bosch bit, as it turned out, is far more aggressive and was the only one I actually needed. Use painters tape to make the area and GENTLY tap with a center punch - this will keep your bit from skipping around. Only other caveat is to possibly cover the drain while installing. The Allen screws that are part of the last step are VERY SMALL and easily lost down the drain (as I did). Moen must have anticipated this as they give you 2 extras (thank you Moen). Overall, recommended and works well. The reason for the install was my wife’s need for something to grab onto if she felt shaky in the shower (she’s currently going through chemo and radiation). As you can see, I installed “upside down” from the normal way. My wife preferred that way and any married will tell you that’s reason enough to leave it alone.

Looking at the reviews, it must just be me. But, it was difficult to install. The main concern is how it attaches to the wall. Most grab bars attached directly to the studs (walls) and then one covers the screws, etc. with a cover plate. In this one, a flange attaches to the studs (wall), and the bar attached to the flange with some very tiny set screws similar to how a towel bar is attached. So far it is holding good, but I wonder how long the little set screws will hold over time.

If you've been shopping for grab bars, perhaps you've been as puzzled as I am. They are all required to be affixed to studs, otherwise they are not secure enough. Standard wall construction puts studs at 16 inches on center. And yet, not that many 16" grab bars out there. I've seen lots of 18"...and longer. I'm assuming the longer-than-18" ones are for angled installation. But if you want to install a bar horizontally, stud to stud, your options are limited. That said, this is a good, solid grab bar. Nice finish, though it doesn't exactly match my other bronze Moen fixtures. You can't see it in the photo, but there are indentations on the back side of the bar for your fingers...would help prevent your hand sliding along the bar when wet. Good design. The mount covers don't affix securely enough...one of mine is a bit loose, even though it is fully snapped over the mounting plate. It's tough to make something as seriously functional as this attractive...at a reasonable price...so they've done a pretty good job.
