Gorgeous shower curtain rod

I received this rod and don’t understand the negative reviews. It’s a beautiful rod. When I first started to put it up as a tension rod I wasn’t thinking this at first. I was turning the nut bolt the wrong way when trying to increase the tension. THEN I figured it out! And boy am I glad!! I have no concerns of it coming down with my extra long shower curtain or my extremely heavy duty shower curtain liner. And can I say I’m super glad that I cont have to put holes in my wall? It’s a gorgeous rod and I just went on Amazon to order another!

Fantastic Deal!

Beautiful Moen shower rod. Not difficult to install as others have mention. Just need to make sure the buttons are facing downward which the directions indicated. What a great steal. For these for $9.98!

Gives you more space

I have smaller tubs and the curved rod really made a difference with the amount of space in the shower. 4 stars because the curtain gets stuck on the little ridge where the smaller shaft is extended. Would get this again.

NOT Rust Resistant

This thing was pretty easy to install, though I'll agree the instructions aren't fantastic. After only a few weeks it started rusting on the bottom portion. I purposely spent more on this hoping it would be better quality and I wouldn't have to replace it in 6 months...but it's garbage now.

A friend of mine had these curved shower bars in his guest bathroom and I was blown away. I bought my first curved one for my daughters' shower and it was flimsy and lame. I replaced it with this model and it's definitely an upgrade on the previous one I had. But it's still not what I was hoping for. I knocked off one of the stars because the caps on the end don't quite sit flush and it's not as nice as I had hoped (I'm probably unfairly comparing this to a $200 shower rod, but if you want a 5 star rod, get ready to pay for it, right?). I am happy with the value and overall look and performance. It will likely stay there for the next 10-20 years. I'd buy another if I needed to.

Not worth the money

First if you buy it and are going to screw it into a stud use wood screws not the screws it comes with. Only the ends have a magnet and the ugly metal shower clips are the kind that you buy at the dollar store, no one with taste will use them. Also the adjustment button will be in the way forever so every time you open or close curtains it will catch. It's Moen product but this product is way over priced. I'm sorry I bought it.

Do Not Buy This Model

So the website advertises this as a dual mount curved tension rod, model MDN2170. Actually, it is Model DN2170 which is only a tension mount. The website has the wrong model number. Don't order this if you want a dual mount rod. I had to contact Moen directly. They were fabulous and sent me a MDN2170 for free because of the screw up by Build.com.

Unable to install and scuffed my new paint

I tried to replace my gross old shower rod with a nice shiny new one. This one looked great but my partner and I were unable to install it so it was steady. All it did was scuff up my week old paint job. It's going back to the store tomorrow. I love my Moen Sage bathroom accessories but this one is a one star.
