Caps Come Off

I came here looking for the parts explosion to replace the cap for the volume controls. I then saw the 15 other reviews complaining about this exact issue. Grohe needs to step up their design or quality control.

Poor Quality: the Plastic Caps and the Knobs just don't work

Within the first month plastic caps broke and the knobs wouldn't regulate the water well. Also one of the most complicated installation process, the installation guide was pathetic. I had 2 plumbers look at it and they both said the parts r defective

Poor quality

Plastic caps for both handles had to be replaced 3 times less than 4 years. I'm awaiting for the 4th to be sent to me. When I spoke with Grohe in March, they told me the part would be sent to me by the end of April. Now they're saying August.

Broken part

A broken part and both knob covers did not fit well. Replacement ordered via warranty. Hopefully everything will work fine afterwards.

Buy something else - cheap plastic caps

The caps fall off and the cheap plastic tabs break off. The company advised I cannot get replacement caps, but instead have to buy the whole unit again. The caps also seem to control the unit, so when they are not perfectly aligned, the spin around and around and the temperature is stuck on hot. It has nothing but trouble for us and for our Airbnb guests.

Avoid GROHE 24151003 ATRIO NEW DUAL FUNCTION THERM

We purchased four (4) GROHE 24151003 ATRIO NEW DUAL FUNCTION THERMOSTATIC and the cap keeps coming off when you turn the handle along with other parts that pop out. The Grohe representative recommended that the plumber use silicon as an adhesive. This is not acceptable as this should be a quality product for the price and not require a band aid. I want Grohe Corporate to make this right.

Guess I got somewhat lucky.

Cheap plastic handle "buttons" stay on ok since I know how to use it. Someone else for the first time they would surely fall off. I did break one and Grohe/Lixil replaced it quickly with no cost.

On/off cap falls off

I am so disappointed that the cap started falling off after 6 uses. I always loved Grohe brand but now I definitely will reconsider. Very disappointed especially for the price I paid.

Don’t buy this trim kit

This trim kit even had seasoned plumbers stumped. It’s also very cheaply made with the plastic inserts popping off. Ended up throwing it away.

Avoid

I bought two of these before all these reviews and have issues with both of them. On one the small top diverter cap falls off and I have had had to superglue it in. It also occasionally drips for a long time for no apparent reason but eventually stops. On the other, the grey plastic piece inside the temp handle with teeth to move the deeper value won't stay in and and on top of that, that cap keeps coming off also. Terrible product. Avoid. Cheap & nasty.

Plastic caps will get you too!

If you love the look of this valve and are reading the reviews thinking 'maybe i'll be lucky and i'll get a good one' then you are wrong! That's what I thought! I thought this is pretty expensive but comes from a reputable company, so it should be OK. Wrong! Plastic caps broke within 4 weeks after install. I saved up for so many years for my dream bathroom remodel and wanted quality products so I spent the extra $$. This is so disappointing, especially, since this is not something that can be easily swapped out for a better product!

Worthless

This product is awful. We've remodeled 2 bathrooms and put in 4 Grohe thermostatic valves - 3 of them 4 years ago, this one last year. The current model has top plastic pop off as other reviewers describe; my plumbers have tried repeatedly including glueing it down. But what's ALSO truly infuriating is that whether the cap stays on or not, the temperature handle doesn't "grab" the actual hardware inside the casing, so kids have no temp control ability (I can do it if I take the crappy plastic cap off & manually move the pieces). So - $$$ bathroom remodel and the kids' gorgeous new shower/tub is effectively unusable. Nice work, Grohe.

Poor fit of cap

The On/OFF cap stayed on about one month and then fell off and now won't stay in the handle. For the price I paid for the valve and trim I disappointed that I now have to look inside the handle whenever I'm in the shower.

Poor Performance

On/Off handle cap comes off continuously. In addition, temperature control cap and grey insert won't stay seated and pops out if touched. June 29th, 2021, spoke with Edger in customer service and replacement handles ordered. Also, very little installation instructions available when plumber installed. Rapido smart box instructions also lacking. Had to google and YouTube the proper way to install.
