This umbrella is as described. Good quality. I have one criticism….There is a lot of resistance when cranking it up. Every time we raise the umbrella it takes two hands and you can feel it resisting. Our former umbrella was a breeze to raise and lower. Disappointed with that .

The umbrella looks nice. Fabric looks nice. Seems pretty sturdy. It just won’t get straight/plumb. I guess there’s too much play in the joints of the pole? It definitely leans in one direction. I have to rotate it around to get it to look OK.

I looked at several very nice - but very expensive - table umbrellas. Every sales person said whatever you buy - get sunbrella fabric. This has sunbrella fabric (supposedly) at a fraction of the cost of the others. It looks, feels very sturdy and well constructed.

Absolute Garbage!!

I own four of these plus two larger models. I initially thought it was a trustworthy brand but I was completely wrong. Everyone one of them has encountered a broken internal cord that drives the umbrella up and down, all within a couple months of owning them. The knot that holds the cord to the lever comes undone almost instantly and its a huge pain to fix! Then i had another one where the metal housing of the tilt trigger snapped in half! The quality is unacceptable for the prices they charge. The Sunbrella fabric is the only positive piece to this umbrella, every thing else is cheaply made and likely won’t last beyond the warranty period. I did contact customer service and of course, I was six months outside the 1-year warranty. They offered a new frame or pole for $93. I wouldn’t reccomend purchasing California Umbrella products.

This is the first umbrella I purchased in many years. It was priced right, I thought, but for the money the quality is not as expected. The top layer of the umbrella is not vented, and the knob on top just looks funny. I recognize it's ribs and structure are better quality construction than the $79 umbrellas being sold at Leslie's Pool Store, but they are actually prettier. I went with the Lowes Sunbrella, which I knew to be good quality and long-lasting fabric, but I'd have preferred to pay more for the umbrella quality of the past. Ordering online you just don't always get what you expect.

I bought this umbrella in April 2021. It has been a great umbrella until about one month ago. . The umbrella pole broke right at the junction where the umbrella tilts. the fabric is still in great shape!

Nice looking

I bought 2 of these in the black and they are very good looking. The biggest problem is with the tilt mechanism. I'm 5'5" and can barely reach the mechanism on the umbrella that's standing in a stand. The mechanism in the umbrella on the umbrella that's in the middle of a table is out of my reach. AND, whatever mechanism it is that keeps the umbrella up doesn't work on one umbrella. So, I'm going to have to take it down and return it and order another one,which I will need to do soon to be sure I can get matching items. Inconvenient and irritating. I ordered 2 stands, both arrived damaged, 2 umbrellas and 1 doesn't work right and 2 8 x10 rugs, one of which had a manufacturing defect and had to be returned. All of these items looked good but had problems.
