Quality Cookware

Love this pot. Nice features like measuring marks in interior and a ventilated lid. Wish I had the whole set instead of this "Coated" stuff I have now. This is much easier to clean.

Durable, dependable and just exactly the right size for so many things. It feels well balanced in your hand. I just love the "Classic" line.

Chef Boyardee I'm Not

As I indicated in my star rating of four sstars, the quality is okay, it's not their best. The steel on the lid as well as the pot is thin and not the same quality as my original set was or is. The base has an "impact bonded aluminium" which I think means, someone with a hammer slaps the two pieces really hard together (kidding), but it is not the tri or bi bonded steel bases which are bonded differently, usually by an explosion or very high heat. For making rice or cooking vegetables or small pasta such as pastina this pot is perfect and has an added feature of drain holes in the lid to pour out of the spout built into the pot. You get what you pay for it and that adage applies here.

Great Sauce pot

This is a very nice, well constructed small sauce pot. Materials are superb as my not so good cooking skills have put it thru the test. After a few oopps, over cooking, all i had to do was soak in warm soap water and it all wipes right out and still looks like new. I bought it specifically for grits and it performs perfectly, also works good for rice and any sauce. If your on the fence give it a whirl and you will be glad.

Calphalon produces a well made product that spreads heat evenly, cleans well and is the perfect size.

Calphalon Stainless

I replaced all my Calphalon anodized aluminum sauce pans with Calphalon stainless. They look much better, heat quickly, and I love the glass covers. This little 1.5 qt is the perfect size, and I like that it has "pour lips" on both sizes. I'm so glad to be done with the powdery feel and the mottled looks of the anodized aluminum.
