To start with the mechanics of how the fixture mounts is very well designed, superior than most. This made the install easy and accurate. The quality of the finish and the robustness of design is very evident. It just looks like a quality piece.

There are lights, then there's this beauty! Bright, white, goes right on when you hit the switch. I love the shape, the details in the assembly and mostly how it brings the whole bath design together. If I could have only one light this would be it! I love my light.

Misaligned manufacturing

Purchased this vanity light fixture and read the reviews when I got home. Unboxed and inspected the fixture for defects in manufacturing mentioned in previous reviews. I found the some of the same problems - the light bar isn't level with the box that gets attached to the wall, and the light fixtures for the bulbs are misaligned. I didn't bother looking at the glass.

Slightly unorthodox assembly but lovely to look at

Design, price and workmanship are top rate. The Mounting to junction box is straightforward, and all parts included. But assembling the light fixture itself is a bit tricky, especially if you mount with lights downward. That's because four pieces must be put in place in squence -- glass chimney, spacing collar, threaded retainer and bulb. And there's nothing to hold the first two in place until the retainer is installed, a process that requires a strange, custom, plastic socket wrench (included). If downward facing, the chimney, spacer and retainer must be balanced atop the wrench until the retainer threads take hold. Not easy. If installing upright, the chimney sits precariously unsupported until the collar and retainer are placed with (very) long-nose pliers. If I were doing this again, I'd fully assemble the fixture BEFORE attaching it to the junction box, and then enlist a helper to hold the fixture while you connect the wires and get the spaghetti stuffed back into the box. But however you do it, be patient and all goes together well, although it might have been easier had instructions come with it. The included LED bulbs are said to last 13.7 years, so you should have a LONG time to enjoy the product, but who knows if standard A19 Edison base LED bulbs will be available anymore in 2035. Maybe the Green New Dealers know, but I sure don't.

Like the other poor reviews, the base and the arm that hold the light are not level. Each fixture had to be manipulated back to the correct position to hold the glass globes level. The arm that holds the lights ended 1" away from the wall on one side and nearly 2' on the other. Just poor poor poor quality. Shame on Hampton Bays Quality Control or lack there of.

Pettier than a straight bar fixture

This fixture is prettier than a straight bar because of its curved arch. I wanted a softer angle in my bathroom to offset the squareness of the room and the vanity. I chose a round mirror, swirl-pattern wallpaper and this fixture to give it that appeal. It can be mounted with the shades upward or downwards, depending on your application. The three-light size is perfect proportion for the 48" wall and 17" sink. For reference, the mirror is 33" round.

Great looking light fixture for the bathroom! Came with a few minor scratches but not noticeable once mounted up high on the wall.

Low quality, missing installation parts

This has to be one of the worst products I've ever attempted to install. The lights were missing several screws necessary to install the light fixture to the wall. After substituting screws I had laying around, the complete failure of Sea Gull Lighting became apparent, the engineers who created the installation hardware have little to no idea how the lights will be installed. Avoid this brand at all cost. It's a shame Home Depot carries this kind of junk.

Classy looking fixture

I've just re-done my bathroom with brushed nickel fixtures and wanted to change out my old chrome vanity light fixture. I had a hard time finding exactly what I was looking for but came upon this light fixture. It's classy looking with my modern accessorized bathroom. The only complaint I have is that I am not feeling the frosted glass shades. They make my bathroom look too dim, so I'll be looking for some more modern translucent, or see through shades.

It came defective, the arched arm is more arched on one side so one light is almost touching the wall vs the opposite side and middle lights do touch the wall. I bought the last one unopened at the store and couldn't take it back because I had to have the bathroom finished urgently. The other model I had ordered on line came missing two lamps and there was no inventory available in stores. Disappointing results with low inventory a local stores.
