overpriced plastic

This overpriced plastic shower head serves a basic function. Its range of adjustment motion (up, down, sideways) is extremely limited, but has several spray options, including an ALMOST shut off, which is handy to save water. I immediately removed the small O-ring (placed to reduce water usage) to enable full water pressure and a better spray. Probably should have searched the web for a cheaper option.

Outstanding Shower Head

Very well engineered shower head with five spray settings. I noticed a dramatic increase in water pressure and much quicker availability of hot water. The best shower head I've ever purchased. Installation is also easy. Highly recommended.

Great product

You can’t know how these things work until you get it home and try it. I bought the featured $65 shower head and it wasn’t very good. The different settings weren’t very different and not strong. T brought it back and got this Moen for half the price and five times as good. The strong stream is strong and many other choices, all at 1.75 gym

Easy to install

I bought this to replace a showerhead that was failing. First time replacing a showerhead, and I had no trouble. The whole process took less than five minutes.

Garbage

How does this shower head have so many good review? So little water comes out of it. Honestly, it reminded me of one of those portable shower bags that you take camping. Don't waste your money on this shower head, save yourself and keep your old shower head, it is probably better.

Not worth the price

Did not last one year Bought this eight months ago....started to leak within the first three months.

Poor water flow

I just installed this product. It says it has 40% more force than other sprays, but that has not been our experience after 2 uses. The first flow setting (at about 4 o'clock) can only be described as "dribble." I don't think it's meant to work that way, but I installed it as required and there are no leaks.

This is the real deal and a ton of bang for your buck. This shower head really delivers even if one doesn't modify it's water saving water volume restrictor. Every mode delivers enjoyable and relaxing options and the massage modes are powerful. Highly recommend this shower head and I liked it so much I bought several for my guest bath and as gifts to family. As a design professional and builder, its rare that I comment on products but this one is well engineered, quality built, easy on the eye and really a worthy product.

Moen Shower Head

The rubber used in this product is not mildew resistant. Have to clean it almost everyday. The mildew stains are very visible because the mildew has gotten deep into the rubber pores. Tried different bleach based products but the problem is still there. I have to replace this now. Moen, how can you release such poor quality product? Please dont tell me I have to clean it every day, I have used other shower heads that I cleaned once a week and I have never experienced this issue before. This shower head was literally making me sick until I noticed the problem.

We were so pleased with the first one we purchased for our Jack 'n Jill bathroom, that we purchased 2 more for our other showers. There are a perfect amount of water holes that cover a larger area than many of the other shower heads we have had. It comes nicely packaged and easy to install with just a bit of plumber's tape. The price was right, too.

I'm an architect and not easily impressed with building products but this is an excellent showerhead. Gives more that adequate water volumne even if you don't remove the water usage limiter. Each spray option is well designed and I'm sure you will find it an excellent performer and super value. I liked this product so much that I purchased another two for my other showers in my home.

Sealed package makes the screw on threads look like they are metal - they are not. Drips long after shutting off the water. Hard to adjust if you don't get the right balance between leak and too tight. There is only one decent full flow pattern. The pulsation is rather weak. Too much money for cheap Made in China junk.

The Moen Hydro Energetix 8-Spray showerhead was easy to install and the waterflow is great. No problems there. It also looks nice. However, we haven't had it long. My only concern is that it says the metals are "brushed" finishes. And it does seem plastic (past that "brushed" metal). So much is plastic these days and plastic doesn't last or stand up well to wear and tear. So only time will tell. But, as far as the material goes, the price is affordable.

See You Tube - remove restrictor!

This is an okay shower head, after the flow restrictor is removed. I bought this to replace a 20 year old shower head that bit the dust. I installed it as desired, and found the flow to be crummy, especially compared to the previous shower head. After searching the web, I found videos on removing the restrictor. Note- you might like the low flow. As I am on well water, and shower water will then replenish the same area as the well, I saw no problem increasing the flow.

This shower head is awesome and a great value for the money. The 8-function selection can't be beat, even for other shower heads offered at greater cost. Installation was easy and completed in minutes (I used both teflon tape and a little pipe dope to secure the threaded connector to the shower rod). All eight water delivery functions were tested and performed as expected. I liked the item so much that I ordered a second one in Mediterranean bronze for a second shower.

I would have given this shower head a “5” rating - but I needed to remove the flow restrictor. I initially had terrible water flow when I first installed the head. I didn’t realize “water sense” meant restricted flow. Thank you US Government!! So I watched a few YouTube videos and quickly figured I better get the flow restrictor removed. Now the head works beautifully and we get great water flow. The 7 different settings are awesome, and it’s easy to adjust when using.

Don't do it!

This shower head is horrible. Very low pressure. The box reads "40% more force"!! Don't believe it. I expected better from Moen.

This MOEN shower head works great. It has a nice selection of water patterns & flow rate. The shower head has a “trickle” function built into the unit which cuts water supply by more than half. This is useful to turn on & save water while soaping up, then easily turn the dial to allow full water flow to rinse off. The “trickle” function is a nice feature which helps save water, especially with California’s restrictive, water usage regulations.

Good, with a caveat.

Out of the box, this shower head (like all on the market today) has lousy pressure. This isn't really the manufacturer's fault, the EPA requires flow to be limited to 1.8 gallons per minute (this has 1.75) - not enough to give a decent shower. I just removed the o-ring from the input, shaved it down a little, and put it back allowing more water to flow. Now I get a wonderful shower. 4 patterns are mostly the same, 2 others are also, but overall a good head with the smaller o-ring.

The shower head, we bought, is great! We took out the water saver and now we have tremendous water pressure ( which we wanted). It has several different settings which adjust the water. They’re all wonderful. My husband and I made a good purchase when buying this shower head. We’d recommend it to anyone looking for a clean exhilarating experience with every shower.
