Not the same part

Ordered this part based off the model number on the original instructions received when the faucet was purchased. I called American Standard and discussed with them what part I needed prior to ordering this handle from Home Depot. The part I received was not the same part I was trying to replace, and the handle with the original faucet was not all metal as this one that was ordered was. Also, the part I received does not fit as a replacement to the plastic handle coated in chrome that I was trying to replace.

This handle is 100 times better than the cheap piece of plastic tin-foil covered handle that came with my faucet. The original did last about a year and a half, but I expected more from American standard. These new handles are all metal and feel solid to the touch. I am quite sure they will outlast the rest of the faucet.

This crome plated handle replace a crome plated plastic handle. It was the only replacement I could find.
