Stylish Lantern Hanging Light

This is an elegant and stylish hanging lantern light. It is luminous when turned on. I bought three dimmable GE 8w LED ultra bright candelabra bulbs to install, each bulb was 100w equivalent or 1080 lumens. I was concerned many of the candelabra bulbs were too dim, from reading other reviews. These are bright enough. I am glad this light had the white glass to diffuse the brightness of the bulbs. The entire hanging light is heavy. I am concerned how my junction box would support the entire weight of the light via the threaded nipple screwed into the mounting plate. The included installation instructions were unclear. I had to contact the vendor to figure out which wires were which. The wires did not come colored in black and white as the installation instructions assumed. Additionally, I didn't want to cut the links of the chain so I wrapped it around three times using the end linked chain. Having installed the light, it looks fantastic.

Gorgeous Statement Lighting with a Retro Feel

I installed this light in my living room. I love the overall design - very unique - and its well made. The satin brass finish and the opaque glass, which casts a nice glow in the room, gives it a luxe feel. The shade is a 19 inch cube. Overall this size light would probably work best in a home with more modern proportions. In an older, 1950's scale home this is a good size if you want to have statement/over-the-top lighting. Being in a smaller home, I was not able to use any of the additional hanging chain due to the size of the light itself. Installation was pretty straightforward and the directions were easy to follow. I found that placing the shipping cardboard back inside the shade to protect it while attaching the socket assembly proved helpful. Operates using three Max 60 watt type B-10 bulbs, not included.

Beautiful, Warm, Unusual Design

This 18.5” pendant light is beautiful and blends in nicely with the décor of our dining room. Its warm glow highlights the beige and brown walls and gives the room a cozy feeling. I can imagine seeing it also being used in an entry with at least a 9-ft ceiling, over a kitchen island, or installing two fixtures over a pool or billiards table. The entire chandelier light took about 15-minutes to assemble. I then removed the globe, since it is the last step to install, to keep the weight off while mounting it to the ceiling. The removal of the existing light and then installing this pendant light took about an hour with my wife helping me. Since the 4 short chains that are attached to the top of the globe are the last step; the globe only needed to be held in place for 2-3 minutes. We used a ladder and a tall step-stool during the process. Make sure that you have a good, solid, mounting box that will hold 50-pounds; since this light is almost 16-pounds… think about 4 bags of granulated sugar at 4-pounds a bag. It would be nice to have an option for a brighter light output. Overall; this is a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing, light fixture with an unusual design. Very nice!

Looks good, heavier then similar light fixtures

The light fixture looks good. When I ordered it, the only size given was 18inch. Well it was 18 inch diameter, and 27inch high which was a bit too big for my room. It was my bad that I did not look up other sites for more info. To me it looked like someone just spray painted the metal frame, and other parts, fast. For the price I thought that it would be better quality. Defenetly heavier then some similar fixture I looked at, so you would have to make sure it is well secured on the ceiling.

Big and Beautiful

This is a beautiful light fixture, however I did not have correct measurements and fixture was too big and dropped too low for my dining space. Although It was super easy to assemble I needed help due to size. The fixture is modern and simple, the gold accents really stand out and add a touch of elegance. Strongly suggest reviewing all dimensions before purchasing as fixture would work well in a large space.

Unique lantern style light

I really like the design and unusual aspect of the Morrison Medium Lantern light. My husband and I mounted this over our stairs to our second story, replacing a ceiling fan with light. Altogether, it took a little over fours hours, including the time to remove existing ceiling fan, and a run to store to get candelabra light bulbs and a heavy duty hook to swag it over to a ceiling stud. We already had a stud finder, which you need for that, definitely needs to be safely secured in a stud. The ability to swag it away from the light junction box was the main reason I choose this light. We did not need the entire length of chain and wires. We first securely mounted the hook and temporarily hung the light, as well as connecting the wires to see the light before we figured the final placement of the light and chain length. Both my husband and I have good DIY skills, and he has hung many lights, so that was a help. The directions that came with the light could have been bigger and more descriptive; it shows two screws mounting the light bracket to the junction box, but they are not included, we reused the ones we had from the fan. Installing this was slightly more challenging than other lights as it is big and heavy; special care is needed so that the chain does not bump and scratch the glass shade while you are in process. Once we had it where we wanted it, we disconnected everything so I could clean the glass shade (there was Styrofoam residue all over, which a dry microcloth solved) and my husband removed the excess chain. We kept in mind to have a loose swag over to the junction box. This is a bit challenging to install, you need electrical skills and prior experience mounting wired lights, and strength, so you may need a professional. That said, the quality and style are just amazing. I enjoy the glow from the frosted glass panels, the welded brass panel frames, the color of the satin brass chain and light housing. We are extremely happy with the results. I think this would also be great for a foyer with high ceilings, or over a dinning table.

Beautiful Kitchen Island Light

This light was the perfect chandelier over the kitchen island. It's an elegant statement for my client's upscale kitchen.

More beautiful in person than in photos

I was initially a little nervous about the satin brass finish and whether or not it would fit in the design of our new room. Turns out this fixture ties in really nicely with the wood T&G ceiling we're putting in. This fixtures is not small even at 13.5" and not light, it is fairly heavy with very nice fit and finish. I would recommend verifying your ceiling JBox is rated for 50 lb minimum load rating, preferably 70 lbs to be able to handle the weight of this fixture. We are glad we didn't go with the 18.5" version, which would look nice on a cathedral ceiling type design. We mocked this up on the ground with 3x 2700K Candelabra lamps. It has decent output but this would be best suited for general ambiance lighting. I would recommend adding some track or downlights in addition to this for proper lighting in a space. We are also glad we got the opaque glass in lieu of the clear to hide the lamp source since it can be harsh. I would like to see this fixture come with an option for medium base A19 lamps for more lumen output options. Highly recommend this fixture to anyone looking create an architecturally interesting focal point in a space.

Gorgeous

The light fixture is gorgeous. I havent installed it yet, and that is because it is much bigger than I thought it was going to be. The area I had planned for it is just to small for it. So it will have to sit in its box till we remodel out dinning room

Perfect dining area fixture

I put this fixture in my dining / breakfast area and it makes the whole room look so much more modern. I love the updated look but the antique brushed nickel gives it a more homey feel. It puts off lots of light and looks very high quality.

This is a very high quality lantern that is a perfect setting for your dining room. It is not your average chandelier that you get from big box stores. This a very well built high quality lantern that gives a very modern and updated look for your living room. The light output is very good since the glass is very high quality.

Beautiful

Beautiful light fixture. It was a a lot bigger than I expected. You will definitely need high ceilings for this. Even if you shorten the chain, it is still really big. It really is a beautiful light though.

Very pretty

The Morrison Small 3 Light Lantern is of a good size. It gives off descent light, and I happy that it can be dimmed. It works great in my dining room, and it hangs at the perfect height. I really like the chrome finish.

Gorgeous hanging glass light

I needed a new hanging light for our dining room. This Morrison three light lantern in brushed nickel is gorgeous. I am so impressed with the design and elegance of this light. It was very easy to install, we removed a fixture from the place we were installing this light so no drilling or wiring needed for this installation. We also didn’t use the chain because we did not want it to hang too low above our table but for a higher ceiling the chain would be needed and add a nice touch to this beauty. I absolutely love the look and size of this light, fit perfectly in the space needed and it completed the look of a beautiful light in our room.

Stunning

The Generation Lighting - Morrison Medium Three Light Lantern in Satin Brass is a stunning light fixture. It is on the larger size so make sure that you have the appreciate ceiling height and space for this. Please make sure that have a professional electrician install it and some additional hands as this fixture holds some weight. You do have to do some light assembly but overall super easy. This fixture will sure elevate your space.

Beautiful light!

Updated my dining room with these classic fixtures.It was important to find a light that was able to be mounted to a slanted ceiling. This light is built well and feels like quality. Highly recommend! Look really pretty. Great quality. Beautiful light and very easy to put together and install.

Beautiful Modern Light

This light just looks beautiful. It almost has a 1980s vibe going about it, but the brushed nickel, though I would call it almost weathered nickel, gives it a modern feel. It gives off just the right amount of light and is great for an entryway. It was simple to install, just be careful with the glass panels as you're trying to hold it up.
