Janitor Sink with razor sharp edging

The metal plate around the top of the basin (to protect the porcelain from mop buckets) is sharp and is not flush against the "lip" of the sink so that it's dangerous. I've already had a family member cut his hand on it. I"m afraid it may hurt a child. Also the drain installation that fits the sink isn't carried by Lowes but must be purchased from a plumbing supply. This is not a true residential laundry sink. Buyer beware. (If anyone knows if the metal plate can be removed without damage to the surface of the sink I'd appreciate hearing about it!)

The sink is beautiful and the size is perfect for a laundry room. I wouldve given it five stars except for the way that Kohler packages the item. There is absolutely no excess packaging material in the box, only sink. My first one came damaged. Wayfair replaced promptly (within three days of report!). Second one came with damaged box and a very small chip on the back, which I can live with. Neither shipper or Wayfair can be blamed. Kohler should put some styrofoam in the box to keep it safe! Otherwise, love it and cant wait it get it installed.

Not completely wall hung . Rests on the drain .

Looks amazing . Beautiful . Tried to get online help through Lowe’s chat as to accessories and parts I would need . Impossible . Also it doesn’t really hang clear of the floor you have to purchase the trap separately and it sits low to ground and supports the weight .

Second time Im using sink. Expensive but totally worth it.

We replaced a cement sink, probably from the 1940’s, in a basement remodel of one of our rentals. This sink replaced the old sink.

Don't buy this sink

Unless you actually want to mount this to a floor- DO NOT buy he sink. The drain and trap won't fit standard pieces. This sink is a nightmare to mount to a wall with standard plumbing wall fittings.

A sink that makes a statement!

I wanted a smaller sink for my laundry room. This is a beautiful sink with a vintage flare that fits perfectly. I used a chrome faucet with wing handles (Chicago Faucets) which everyone notices as they pass by the laundry room off the kitchen. I love having something so different than your basic kitchen sink/counter or laundry room plastic tub. I also ordered the base because I was afraid the sink would be too heavy to hang on the wall. Because the stand is so short, we bought a 6 inch pipe (at Home Depot) that fit between the sink drain and stand, which raised it to the perfect height. I love how the stand looks, however, our installer would have been able to secure it to the wall, I think, without the stand. Still, I would have worried that it would pull away from the wall if someone leaned on it. As always, Faucet Direct's delivery was faster than anticipated, and the sink, stand, and faucet were all in perfect condition.

Kohler Bannon Service Sink

The sink is great. However, that's all you get. The pictured base is mandatory (nothing else fits the 3" opening in the sink) and does not come with the sink and is not sold by Home Depot. It retails for over $200. Then, if you get it from another source, you'll find that it is designed to be attached to a 3 inch cast iron pipe, for stability I suppose. So, after hours of unnecessay work and spending $200 more than I wanted, I'll go figure out how to "adapt" it to the 1.5 inch pvc piping in my house. It appears that this sink was designed for commercial applications, not residential. But none of that is clear from the website.
