linear drain

I like the look. We had 2'x4' tile walls, used one piece of tile for the drain, looks great. Note sure about the hair trap, worried that if it clogs up the shower will overflow. May end up leaving the trap out. Drain works as expected.

Peeling

Purchased the matte black drain. The black finish is starting to peel off, exposing the silver metal underneath. What can I do?

Stay away from signature hardware drains.

[Rewarded Review] Great linear drain

Love how this drain seamlessly blends into our shower floor! I like how they have different finish options - we have the brushed gold and are very pleased with how it goes with the Calacatta Gold marble floors. Our tiling guy could easily tile in 2"hex marble mosaic into this linear drain. It also comes with a filter that goes into the drain part that prevents hair from clogging the drain. Highly recommend this one

Quickly Clogs with Hair and Soap

Bought this drain from Ferguson. It looks good but the hair basket clogs with hair and soap very quickly. We have to clean it every 2-3 days or the shower will turn into a tub.

Well made stainless steel linear drain installed easily with flange into PVC drain line. Tiles fit into insert tray with supplied clips underneath allowing water to drain away. Recessed catch basin sits inside flange accessable with metal key to lift linear drain. Once installed, the drain provides a seamless look with barely noticeable rectangular outline.

[Rewarded Review] Excellent solution for a wetroom shower

This review only covers the product installation and appearance. We needed a large linear drain for our new open shower and this product fit the bill perfectly. We opted for a waterproof plaster in place of tile and the ability to match the drain using the product was a selling point. Our plaster had no problem integrating it into the install. I read some of the issues with the drain cleanliness and will update the review once it's up and functioning.

Good quality solution but like all linear drains there can be complications.

Incorrect Diameter

Claims the OD is 2", but actually the ID is 2". Will not work with a 2" drain. Comes with a PVC drain, but if you have ABS plumbing, it's impossible to find the ABS piece that works with this.

Shows signs of early rust

The stainless is low quality and already rusting in spots.

Plastic Clips are cheap and fail within a year.

My designer and Fergusons recommended this product, plastic components were a huge disappointment. Also concur that the drain has excessive buildup every few days. A regular drain would serve you better. Where do you order new clips?
